‘Selling Sunset’ Star Heather Rae Young Reveals She ‘Can’t Wait’ to Have a Baby With Tarek El Moussa
Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young has said conflicting things about having a baby with her husband, Tarek El Moussa. Recently, Young said she “can’t wait” to have a child with the Flip or Flop star. Here’s what the real estate mogul revealed about wanting a baby, and what she has said about it in the past.
Heather Rae Young previously said she didn’t ‘feel the need’ to have children with Tarek El Moussa
Tarek El Moussa, star of HGTV’s Flip or Flop, married Selling Sunset star Heather Rae Young in October 2019. Their glamorous wedding was televised in a discovery+ special titled Tarek and Heather: The Big I Do. El Moussa was previously married to his Flip or Flop co-star, Christina Haack, with whom he shares two children, Taylor and Brayden.
On June 28, 2021, Young shared an Instagram post revealing her thoughts about having her own children with El Moussa. She said she didn’t “feel the need” to add more members to their family. “Probably the number one question I get asked is if Tarek and I are adding more babies to the family,” Young started the caption. “… I never knew how much love I had to give until I came into these babies lives and as of now I can’t see myself wanting to add another into the family.”
She added, “The kind of family we have is special and my heart is so full already that I really don’t feel the need for more. ♥️”
But in October 2021, Young told People that she “would regret” not trying for a baby with her husband. “To create something with him, that’s ours, together… I feel I would regret it if I didn’t,” Young said. “So we’re open to it.”

On Mar. 23, Heather Rae Young revealed that she “can’t wait” to have a baby with Tarek El Moussa.
The Selling Sunset star posted an Instagram Story photo of her holding what appears to be a friend’s infant. She wrote over the image in pink letters, “Okay so I’m Absolutely [sic] obsessed with baby Charlotte.” Young tagged the baby’s parents before continuing, “And it makes me even more ready for my own.” She tagged El Moussa at the end of the post.
In her next Instagram Story, Young posted a photo of her husband feeding the infant a bottle. She captioned it, “A complete natural,” tagging El Moussa and adding red and white heart emojis. “I can’t wait to have a baby with you!”
After tagging the baby’s parents again, Young concluded the post by writing, “We are obsessed.”
The ‘Selling Sunset’ star calls herself a ‘bonus mommy’ to her husband’s two children with Christina Haack
Although Heather Rae Young may have decided she wants to have a baby with Tarek El Moussa, her love for his children with Christina Haack hasn’t changed.
On Mar. 19, Young gushed about being a “bonus mommy” to the two kids in an Instagram post. “My favorite thing is waking Tay & Bray up in the morning giving them big hugs and kisses and seeing their sweet smiles,” she wrote. “I love being a bonus mommy and I’m so proud of them.”
And El Moussa’s daughter seems to return Young’s affection. In a scene from Tarek’s Flip Side, Taylor said (per House Beautiful), “When I first met Heather, I felt this bond with her. She’s so nice, she does all this kind stuff. She’s the best. I love hanging out with her.”
