Sex and the City is a show that helped define the late ’90s and early 2000s and HBO’s status as a premiere TV network. The series follows sex columnist Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), and her three friends, publicist Samanta Jones (Kim Cattrall), attorney Samantha Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and art curator Charlotte York (Kristen Davis), living their very best lives in New York City.

After six seasons, countless storylines, and two films, the women are set to reunite for a new HBO limited series. Though it’s technically a reboot or a continuation, to Sex and the City, the series has a new title, And Just Like That.

With news of the casting, fans are now convinced that supermodel Heidi Klum may be joining the ladies.

When does the ‘Sex and the City’ reboot debut?

HBO announced #SACNextChapter’s And Just Like That in Jan. 2021. However, details about the series except for who won’t be returning are scarce. From what we understand, production on the show has not yet begun, and no official release date has been announced.

It is likely that filming for the limited series will begin in 2021 and the show will debut in early 2022.

Kim Cattrall and Chris Noth will not be returning for the ‘Sex and the City’ reboot

It’s no secret that Cattrall and Parker have had issues in the past. Though they were able to work together on the series and in the first two Sex and the City films, Cattrall wiped her hands of the series just before production of Sex and the City 3 was planned to begin filming.

She has also said that she will not be returning for And Just Like That. The writers have promised a satisfying ending to Samantha’s storyline, but diehard fans of the series are not convinced.

Also, Chris Noth, who played Carrie’s love interest Mr. Big for the entire series will not be returning to the reboot. According to Page Six, Noth is currently working on CBS’ The Equalizer as well as several other projects.

We wonder if that means Carrie is single in the reboot.

Is Heidi Klum joining the ‘Sex and the City’ reboot?

In a recent Instagram post, Klum shared a photo of herself alongside the women of Sex and the City. Since the production of And Just Like That is set to begin soon, fans were convinced that the supermodel might be joining the project.

She captioned the photo, “How do you say Samantha in German? It has been SO hard to keep this a surprise but I can finally share that I am joining the new season of Sex and the City! I can’t wait to toss back some Cosmos and kick up my Manolos with these amazing ladies @sarahjessicaparker @iamkristindavis @cynthiaenixon.”

Unfortunately, it lookd like Klum was just pulling a prank on fans of April Fools. However, she could still have a cameo in the upcoming show.
