‘Shark Tank’: Why Barbara Corcoran Wants an Invite on This Show
Barbara Corcoran is a sought-after investor on the panel of Shark Tank. While she enjoys her role in helping entrepreneurs, Corcoran revealed that she has another show in mind where should would love a seat at the judging table.

Corcoran is an expert in marketing and encourages her entrepreneurs to utilize social media to promote their businesses. With the rise of TikTok, the Shark Tank star has become quite familiar with the app and relishes the creativity the platform provides.
“I love TikTok because I can totally be myself, that’s what I’m really into,” Corcoran told Morning Brew in 2021. “And it’s also the only time I get attention from my 14-year-old daughter Kate. ‘Oh, I saw you on the ‘For You’ page – mom you look good,’ she says. I never got any feedback from her on anything and now she’s giving me feedback on TikToks.”
The real estate mogul prefers heading to TikTok over using more dated forms of communication.
“I’m so exhausted from emails and texts,” she admitted. “I used to feel the need to be efficient and honorable and answer everything quickly and I couldn’t go to bed at night until my inbox was cleaned out.”
‘Shark Tank’ star is open to other shows
Corcoran often appears on television interviews to discuss business and finance topics. The Shark Tank panelist also tried her fancy footwork skills when she was a contestant on Dancing With the Stars in season 25. She found the competition to be a monumental challenge but faced it head-on.
“It has been very difficult because I use my mind in my work,” Corcoran remarked in 2017, as reported by ABC News. “I’m always analyzing things and running from my gut. With dancing, it has nothing with the mind. It has to do with what you believe in your heart, actually! Weirdest thing. I’ve never encountered anything that was so difficult for me.”
The millionaire has another show in mind where she would welcome a seat on the panel but hasn’t received an invitation.
“RuPaul’s Drag Race, for sure,” Corcoran responded when asked what program she’d like to be a judge on outside of Shark Tank. “He’s outrageous and you know you’re going to have a blast. But he hasn’t invited me. I’m a little old-fashioned, I don’t like to invite myself, I like to get the guy to call.”

Corcoran went as far as to post a plea to RuPaul in February 2021 in the hopes of getting the reality star’s attention and receive a guest seat on the panel.
“Everyone’s been telling me I gotta be on @RuPaulsDragRace! Gotta say I agree,” Corcoran captioned a video with a tag to RuPaul.
“I’m dying to be on RuPaul,” she said in the video. “Come on, I watch you every week and every time I see that snatch game, I’m thinking ‘Why isn’t someone playing me?’ They could have so much fun with me.”
In the meantime, Corcoran can be seen sitting next to her fellow business icons on the Shark Tank panel.
