Sharon Stone’s expansive career has spanned four decades. The Emmy and Golden Award Winner was first cast as an extra in a Woody Allen movie. From there, she began garnering roles in ’80s films like Irreconcilable Differences and Above the Law.

Stone’s major breakout came in the ’90s when she was cast opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger in Total Recall and then in the thriller, Where Sleeping Dogs Lie. However, it was her turn as the serial killer, Catherine Tramell, in Basic Instinct that put the blonde bombshell on the map.

These days the legendary actor can be seen in Netflix’s Ratched opposite Sarah Paulson. However, looking back, she says there is one film and co-star that sticks out in her memory because of a steamy kiss.

Sharon Stone has been rebuilding her career

In the early 2000s, Stone was on a roll when it came to her career. However, on September 29, 2001, she suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage caused by a stroke which forced her to take a near two-year-long hiatus from acting.

Stone’s brain hemorrhage lasted nine days and required nearly two dozen coils to treat the brain damage. She told The Hollywood Reporter,

It’s a little bit like I felt like I was hit by that lightning bolt. I don’t know how long I was on the floor. It was three days before somebody took me to the hospital.

It took Stone years to physically recover and she still takes medication for siezures. However, she’s been able to rebuild her career.

Sharon Stone was once blocked from a dating app

These days, Stone is slated to star in a slew of upcoming projects and she’s also excited about dating. However, late last year, she revealed that she had been blocked from an infamous dating app.

On Dec. 30, 2019, Stone tweeted that Bumble had blocked her. “I went on the @bumble dating sight and they closed my account,” Stone shared. “Some users reported that it couldn’t possibly be me! Hey @bumble, is being me exclusionary? Don’t shut me out of the hive.”

We’re not sure if Stone was ever able to sort this out with the Bumble Hive, but we do know that the actor does have one infamous kiss she’ll always compare her dates to.

Sharon Stone says Robert De Niro was the best kisser

Though she’s worked with Michael Douglas, Schwarzenegger, and Sylvester Stallone, Stone revealed that it will always be De Niro for her. The pair starred together in Martin Scorsese’s 1995 film Casino.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, the Ratched actor revealed,

Well, Robert De Niro was for sure the best kisser. Yeah, Bob was far and away the best kisser. It was the actor that I admired the most and had, my whole career, was like, ‘I just want to sit across the table from Robert De Niro and hold my own.’ And maybe because I just held him in such extraordinary, high regard, and it was the pinnacle of the kissing moment for me. There was so much attached to it. But I was just so madly in love with him as an actress to start with, that, you know, he probably could have hit me in the head with a hammer and I would have been like, ‘Oh, yeah!’ You know, but it was pretty fabulous. I don’t know that I can compare anything else to that. Everything else was kind of like, ‘Meh.’
