‘Sister Wives’: Christine Brown Stopped Blindly Obeying Kody — ‘I’m Head of My House’

On the Jan 16 episode of Sister Wives, Kody Brown reveals that he thinks his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, is his “obedient wife.” Kody’s third wife, Christine Brown, reveals why she’s no longer blindly obedient to Kody any more. She says, “I’m head of my house,” now that Kody is no longer making an effort to come over to her home.

Kody says Robyn is his ‘obedient wife’

During Kody’s discussion with him and Janelle’s son, Gabriel ‘Gabe’ Brown, he talks about not being respected by his wives and his children.

He says, “I think the problem here is whether I’m being respected in my home or not.” During his discussion, Kody reveals that Robyn is his ‘obedient wife.’

He tells the cameras, “I’ll tell you something that Robyn has done from the very beginning of coming into our family. She sat her children down, and she said, ‘We’re going into this family. You will be kind to this family. You will accept this family, and you will respect the parents. And you will respect Kody as your father.”

He says, “I have other households who have never established those rules.”

Christine reveals why she’s not blindly obeying Kody anymore

In the episode, Christine tells the cameras, “I used to be that wife.” She continues, “I used to be super, like ‘Anything you want. Anything you say. Whatever you want, I used to be that wife. And I’m not anymore.”

While Kody wants to be respected as ‘head of the household,’ he doesn’t seem to affect Christine’s household. She reveals, “I’m head of my house. I am. I’m the one who’s present. I’m the one who’s around.”

Kody has spent all of his time at Robyn’s house with her children during the nine months of coronavirus lockdown, and it’s become a point of jealousy.

Christine says, “It’s hard for the girl to respect their dad when they see he has favorites. And they, they struggle with how apparent it is, that he’s more comfortable at some houses than others.”

Christine leaves marriage to Kody

Christine tells the cameras that she and Kody are over during the preview for the upcoming Jan 23 episode of Sister Wives. She says, “We’re done. We’re not going to hang out again.”

According to Christine, ‘He said, ‘I am not interested in having an intimate marriage anymore.'” Sister Wives fans recognize what Kody is doing, as he previously friend-zoned his first wife, Meri.

However, Christine is doing things differently than Meri. Christine reveals, “I am not OK with staying in a marriage where there is no intimacy.”

It appears that Christine had already emotionally left her marriage to Kody. Perhaps she had been preparing for her new role as a single mom and head of her household too. New episodes of Sister Wives air Sundays on TLC and discovery+.
