‘Sister Wives’: Christine Brown Tells Followers to ‘Embrace Sexy,’ Dresses Up For Date Night With Kody
Christine Brown, Kody Brown’s third wife, is one of the most active stars of TLC’s Sister Wives on social media. The mom of six frequently heads to Instagram to show off her life in Flagstaff, her kids, her LuLaRoe business, and her relationship with Kody.
Recently, Christine took to Instagram to share an uncharacteristically sultry date night look. Naturally, Sister Wives fans were immediately curious—as the polygamist Brown family is often fairly modest and conservative.

In May 2020, Christine headed to Instagram to share a cute date night outfit, complete with sky-high sassy red pumps, ripped jeans, a leather jacket, hoop earrings, an animal-print blouse, and bright lipstick.
“Dressing up for date night is super important, even if you’re just going for a drive listening to your favorite songs! Embrace Sexy!” the Sister Wives star captioned the post. She even added the music she liked to listen to: Kings of Leon, The Killers, and Muse.
While Christine has always had a big, bold, and bright personality, the post still surprised some Sister Wives fans. After all, Christine has expressed jealousy about her sister wives’ date nights with Kody—and didn’t want them to be openly affectionate with him in front of her.
On the latest season, Kody’s third wife got raw and real about her jealousy issues. She explained that she didn’t feel comfortable moving into one big home on the family’s land in Arizona (Coyote Pass), as she wouldn’t get to be as affectionate with her husband as she wanted to be. She also shared that she didn’t want to see Kody leaving for dates with the other women.
In that light, Christine’s comments about getting sexy for date night raised a few eyebrows among some viewers.

Of course, most fans couldn’t help noticing how great Christine looked. She’s recently taken on a more active lifestyle, to which she credits her weight loss.
“Go on with your red pumps on,” one Sister Wives viewer cheered her on.
Another commenter loved the way Christine’s personality shone through in the outfit. “Super cute! Reminds me of Sandy from Grease grown up and rocking it,” they wrote. Others praised the mom for being willing to go out on more of a limb with her fashion choices. “Wow. You look so good! Nothing like some red to turn on the heat,” one Instagram user wrote.
One Instagram user pointed out how much Christine’s fun, easy-breezy approach to life complemented her personal style. “You’re so beautiful inside and out! Love your spunky, fun personality on the show and your style!” they gushed.

Other Sister Wives viewers just wanted to get the deets on Christine’s telling “date night” comment.
“Oooo. You’re dating!! Who’s the lucky guy??” one Instagram user wondered, seeming to think Christine was stepping out with a guy besides Kody.
“Her husband…?” a Sister Wives fan pointed out, adding that Kody and Christine had recently celebrated their 26th wedding anniversary.
“She doesn’t have a husband,” a critic replied—referencing Christine’s marital status, which is legally “single.” In the Browns’ fundamentalist Mormon faith, the Apostolic United Brethren (AUB), most sister wives are spiritually married to their husband in the temple. Their religious tenets hold that this is “real” marriage, while legal marriage is only for logistical and financial purposes.
Still, in 2014, Kody legally divorced his first wife, Meri Brown, to marry his fourth wife, Robyn Brown, and adopt her three children. Christine admitted that she struggled with Kody’s decision to add Robyn to the family back in 2010, and again when he made Robyn his legal wife several years later. Many Sister Wives fans think Robyn is Kody’s favorite wife.
That’s why some fans chimed in with comments like, “You mean with Robyn’s husband.” Another viewer wondered if Kody really spent most of his time with his fourth wife. “So Kody will take you on a date for a couple of hours then go back to Robyn’s, is that the plan?” they asked. “And you settle for that.
