Sister Wives fans took to social media to slam Kody Brown for playing what they alleged was a “victim” role in the final installment of the TLC Tell-All. After three separate episodes where fans waded through the murky waters of the relationships of the Brown family, season 16 came to its conclusion. While it appears Christine Brown has moved forward and is hopeful for a friendship in the future with her ex-husband, Kody claims he is “mourning” the loss of his marriage.

‘Sister Wives’ Tell-All spent three episodes rehashing the past

For the final three episodes of season 16, Sister Wives rehashed the past relationships of the Brown family, including Kody’s unions with wives Meri, Christine, Robyn, and Janelle.

Fans relived the uneasy relationship between Meri and Kody, who are now in the friend-zone of a marriage that began 30 years ago. Although Meri and Kody once had a loving relationship, he appears to have not forgiven her for looking outside of their union for attention. Kody claims Meri cheated on him while Meri steadfastly denied those accusations to TLC’s cameras. They are parents to one daughter.

Janelle claimed that while she disagreed with how Kody has handled himself over the past year, particularly in his handling of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, she intends to remain his spiritual wife. The couple shares six children.

Robyn defended her marriage to TLC’s cameras and show host Sukanya Krishnan. She claimed that she was upset at Christine’s departure from the clan. “I am frustrated and angry and devastated by Christine’s choice,” Robyn said. “She’s part of my big picture.” The couple shares five children.

Christine, who left the clan in Nov. 2021, spoke of why she chose to make a new life on her own. She talked of jealousy issues, Kody’s emotional and physical withdrawal from their marriage, and her will to begin life anew.

‘Sister Wives’ fans allege Kody Brown ‘played the victim’ during TLC Tell-All

In a Facebook post that teased the season finale of Sister Wives, fans spoke out against the Brown family patriarch. They alleged he “played the victim” during the three-episode Tell-All and did not own up to his responsibility in the dissolution of not only his and Christine’s spiritual marriage but the breakdown of his entire polygamist clan.

“It was a waste of time. Kody is lying and playing the victim, and Robyn is sobbing as usual. Go Christine!” wrote one Facebook user.

“Oh, Lord! When Kody said he doesn’t hold grudges, I almost choked on my coffee!! That’s all he does and talks about. I’m so happy for Christine and hope she and Janelle are still close,” penned a second follower.

“Best wishes to all of them, but I can’t think of a worse way to spend an hour watching the implosion of a family, and to say it’s boring is an understatement! Women who struggle to find self-worth, self-respect, and who are just plain unhappy,” shared a third viewer.

“Go back to the first Season. Every wife looked so much better than they do now! Stress and unhappiness will do that to you. Even Sobbin Robin has gained a lot of weight. Now the only one who looks great is Christine. My idea: Part 4 talks to the Children. They’ll tell you how Kody destroyed this family,” suggested a fourth fan.
