‘Sister Wives’ Fans Shocked Kody Wants To Evict His Sons During the COVID-19 Pandemic
On Sister Wives, Kody Brown asks his wife, Janelle Brown, to get their older sons to abide by the strict coronavirus (COVID-19) rules. However, it’s impossible due to their sons, Garrison and Gabriel, both going to school and having jobs outside the home. When Janelle tries to explain this to Kody, he demands that she kick the boys out. Sister Wives fans are shocked that Kody would suggest doing something like that, especially during a pandemic.
Kody tells Janelle to evict his sons, Garrison and Gabriel
During the Jan 2nd episode of Sister Wives, Kody and Janelle discuss the coronavirus rules again. Janelle says she doesn’t want to kick out her sons because they’re using this time to save money. Kody interrupts her and says, “They’re adults. Bye-bye.”
Kody tells the cameras, “Listen, I’ve been sympathetic to this situation with Janelle and her kids this entire time. And I tolerated a lot for a very long time until I realized that I was being lied to or deceived. And at that point was when I sort of lost my patience with it. I’m like, ‘You need to just make the boys move out.'”
Kody reiterated, “I’m gonna have Gabriel and Garrison move out of the house. I’m sorry, here’s the problem. Janelle’s name is on the lease, so I can’t evict them.”

One fan wrote about how they felt about Kody wanting to kick out Gabriel and Garrison. The posted on Reddit,” ‘Janelle and her kids’ are you kidding me Kody? You want Janelle to kick her kids out in the middle of a pandemic?! You are literally the worst most evil father. Imagine how hurt his kids are watching these episodes back where he doesn’t give a crap about his kids. He is really throwing all his relationships away for Robyn and her children. This man is sick!!!”
Another fan commented, “I can’t believe he would be so callous to his own children! I can’t imagine how hurt his children would be watching this back. He’s always been a jerk but this is just a level of evil I have not seen before. Where are his barely adult children supposed to even go to in the middle of a pandemic anyway? He called them ‘Janelle’s kids’ not their kids or his kids, very telling.”
Janelle is choosing her kids over Kody
In the episode, Kody told Janelle, “You know my dad sent me out with a car that I earned and $50.” Janelle mocks him in the confessional, “He’s like, ‘My dad kicked me out at 18 and sent me. with a crappy car to go live in Utah, whatever.’ Look, you know what? I am not just that parent. This is a different day and age. You don’t just kick your kids out of the house at 18 and say, ‘Hope you do good.'”
Kody and the sister wives get together to discuss where the family would be staying for Thanksgiving. Because her sons will be leaving the house for school and work, Janelle won’t be able to quarantine for two weeks so that Kody can feel comfortable staying there. After storming off and telling Kody to “f—k off,” Janelle tells the cameras how she’s feeling. She says, “You know, I guess, I am just frustrated because I am between a rock and a hard place here.”
She continues, “I’m having to make sure that my kids are safe. My kids are mentally well. I am giving them the best chance, and then I am having to choose these rules that the family has, which aren’t very different from my rules. That I am stuck. I am stuck here. I don’t wanna spend Thanksgiving alone.”
Many Sister Wives fans think it’s unfair for Kody even to suggest that his sons be kicked out. It appears that Janelle has chosen her kids’ needs over Kody’s, and while it might make him mad, it shows what an incredible mother she is.
