The ‘Sister Wives’ have three different Thanksgiving celebrations

On the Jan 2nd episode of Sister Wives, Kody made it clear that either his wives will comply with his strict coronavirus (COVID-19) rules or they will have to spend the holiday alone.

Christine said she chose to spend Thanksgiving in Utah with her daughter, Aspyn, and her husband, Mitch. And her other daughter, Mykelti, and her husband, Tony, will be there as well. She said that she chose her children over Kody in this situation.

Janelle also chose to be with her family during the holiday. Since there was no time to quarantine, she decided to go to her sister’s house in Utah for Thanksgiving. If she had chosen to stay, her sons, Garrison and Gabriel, would have had to spend the holiday alone.

Meri, who has been abiding by Kody’s strict rules, has decided to spend Thanksgiving with Robyn, her five children, and Kody.

She debated whether she should also go to Utah to spend it with her mother and her daughter, Mariah, but in the end, chose to stay in Flagstaff, Arizona, with the rest of the family.

Janelle says that she forgot to even call Kody or the rest of the family because she was having such a “great time.” She said, “We were busy doing all of the fun things that are in Utah at the holidays.”

Kody says only certain wives respect him and are loyal to him

During the confessional, Kody reveals, “COVID has been such a strain on the family.”

Regarding having Thanksgiving with Meri and Robyn, Kody says, “And everybody here at this table has been really easy on me about my rules for COVID.” Check out the clip from the episode (via Instagram) below:

He says, “And the contrast has been one of those things that has really just made me aware of those who are loyal to me and those who are not. It’s as much respect as it is loyalty, I suppose. How you love a man is to respect him. And so I’m sitting here just appreciating where I’m at and who’s with me.”

Janelle snaps back in her own confessional, “There’s all this discussion about loyalty and respect. And I thought in marriage, that was mutual. I thought you were supposed to give it both ways. Not just that all the respect and loyalty flows to one person.”
