Meri Brown is sticking up for her daughter. The Sister Wives star recently praised her daughter, Mariah Brown, following an interaction between Mariah and her half-brother, Paedon Brown. It seems the two don’t see eye-to-eye on politics. This comes amid Meri Brown seemingly taking a step back from the Sister Wives family and Kody Brown. Could this be another sign that she’s getting ready to officially exit the family?

After a recent interaction on Instagram, it’s become clear that Mariah Brown and Paedon Brown do not see eye-to-eye. The Sister Wives siblings are the children of Meri Brown and Christine Brown respectively.

On July 8, Paedon Brown posted a thin blue line flag to Instagram with the hashtags “back the blue” and “blue lives matter.” Obviously this is a pretty hot take amid nationwide calls for police reform.

An Instagram user suggested that Paedon call Mariah and have a conversation with her, as Mariah and her fiancée, Audrey, have been very vocal about supporting the Black Lives Matter movement.

Paedon wrote back, “I love Mariah very much but we can’t stand each other.”

It seems Audrey wasn’t having any of that. She replied, “Black lives matter and I cannot BELIEVE some of the things you’ve said here.” After quoting Paedon’s comment about his relationship with Mariah, she wrote, “That’s not what you were thinking when you called her crying weeks ago.”

Paedon then went ahead and disabled comments on the post

Meri Brown shows her love

Sister Wives stars Kody Brown and Christine Brown have remained mum on Paedon’s comments about Mariah Brown and his interaction with Audrey. Meri Brown, however, took to Instagram to seemingly praise her daughter shortly afterward.

She reposted an image macro to her stories that reads, “Having a gay child doesn’t mean you failed as a parent, disowning your gay child means you failed as a parent.”

While this could be seen as a simple comment, it’s probably no coincidence that Meri Brown chose to post this shortly after Paedon made his hurtful comment about Mariah.

Mariah Brown had previously posted on Instagram about family, friends, and politics. She wrote, “I will no longer be associated with people who think that the money in their pockets or the political associations they are are more important than my life, than my rights. Remember that if you make the choice to vote for Donald Trump, you are making the choice to no longer have me in your life.”

Is Meri Brown getting ready to leave the Sister Wives family?

Recently it’s seemed as if Meri Brown has fewer and fewer qualms about butting heads with the Sister Wives family. That, combined with a variety of cryptic Instagram posts, has some fans thinking she’s just basically left the family.

Meri Brown has also been spotted on Instagram photos without her Claddagh ring, which the Browns usually wear at all times to signify their devotion and love.

Meri Brown added a comment about overcoming hardships by Michelle Obama to her Instagram story. It reads, “Instead of letting your hardships and failures discourage or exhaust you, let them inspire you. Let them make you even hungrier to succeed.”
