‘Sister Wives’ Reunion Part 2 Spoilers: Janelle Gets Defensive When Questioned About Intimacy With Kody — ‘We’re Fine’
In a preview for part two of the Sister Wives reunion, Kody Brown and Janelle Brown talk candidly about their marriage. When the host asks about intimacy within her marriage to Kody, Janelle appears to get defensive and snaps, “We’re fine.”
Kody describes his current relationship with Janelle
In a preview for the upcoming Feb. 6 episode of Sister Wives (via People), Kody gets honest about the status of his marriage with Janelle. In the preview, the host asked Kody about how he maintains being “in sync” with Janelle.
He says, “We’re not in sync. We don’t partner really well. But we actually are just able to have a marriage, if you will, that is lower in attachment.” He continues, “We’re good friends. We get along well. It’s more of a just a committed relationship.”
The host asks him, “Are you in love with Janelle?” Kody replies, “I love Janelle.” The host reiterates, “Are you in love with Janelle?” He pauses and shakes his head no and says, “Janelle wouldn’t tell you that she’s in that place with me either if she’s being honest.”
Janelle is questioned about her intimacy with Kody
Janelle talks about her marriage to Kody. She says, “We have a long-term relationship. We’ve been together almost 30 years. He’s my best friend.”
The host says, “He’s still your husband, and the emotional intimacy and the physical intimacy has to go hand in hand.” Janelle seems to get defensive. She snaps, “Yeah. We’re fine.”
The host asks, “You’re working on that?” She says. “Yeah, I mean, we’re fine. So Kody and I are fine. I’m not going to share too much, but we’re fine.”
Christine’s opinion on Janelle and Kody’s marriage
The reunion host asked Janelle’s now-ex-sister-wife, Christine Brown, about the “parallels” in their marriages to Kody. She asked Christine if she thought that Janelle was happy in her marriage to Kody.
Christine says, “I asked her when we were on vacation together. I’m like, ‘So what does it look like, with you and Kody. Are you fine? Are you gonna stay?'” Christine revealed that Janelle plans to stay with Kody because he’s such a great dad.
The reunion host asked Christine if she thought Kody filled Janelle’s tank. Christine answers, “I don’t know if she needs Kody to fill her tank. I don’t know if she needs that. What she needs from Kody is very different from what I’ve ever needed from Kody. I think Janelle is like a wicked awesome strong woman, and I think she fills her own damn tank.”
Is Janelle’s defensiveness about her and Kody’s intimacy a sign that their marriage is no longer functioning that way? Part two of Sister Wives One-on-One reunion airs Feb. 6 on TLC and discovery+.
