‘Sister Wives’ Spoilers: Christine Brown Explains How ‘Everything Changed’ With Kody After a Conversation She Had With Her Father
On the upcoming Feb. 20 episode of Sister Wives, the tell-all host, Sukanya Krishnan, continues to get to the bottom of the split between Christine Brown and Kody Brown. In the third part of the ‘One-on-One’ interviews, Christine reveals how one crucial conversation with her father changed everything.
Christine has a life-changing conversation with her father
In a sneak preview of the upcoming episode (via ET), Christine explains what caused the most significant change in her marriage to Kody. She said that she used to “be always positive and upbeat and ‘whatever you need’ and ‘absolutely.'”
Christine revealed, “It’s so funny. It’s like I didn’t mind. It’s what I did, and it was completely fine until it wasn’t.” She explained. “All of a sudden, I just realized I couldn’t anymore.”
The Sister Wives star said one heart-to-heart conversation with her father changed everything. She revealed, “My dad talked to me. It was actually my dad.”
She said, “My dad … is the sweetest, most loving guy. He’s like, ‘At what point are you going to start saying no?’ And he goes, ‘You’re always saying yes to everything. When are you going to start saying no.'” And I’m like, ‘Oh gosh.'”
Christine explains how standing up to Kody changed the dynamic of their marriage
The host, Sukanya, asked Christine, “So the moment you started standing up for yourself, Kody didn’t like that change in personality.”
Christine answered, “No.” Sukanya asks Christine if Kody “heard” her frustration. Christine replied, “I think that he heard, but he had no idea what to do. ‘Cause I changed so much, in the blink. Everything changed, and Kody withdrew, and then I withdrew, and we just withdrew.”
Kody disagrees with Christine
When the host asks Kody about his opinion on Christine setting boundaries in their marriage, he says, “We can sit and say the ‘he said, she said,’ until the cows come home, she’s told you things that I fundamentally disagree with. And all I’m doing now is defending myself.”
He ends the segment by saying, “I’m going to ask you now, Suki. I don’t want to talk about Christina anymore.”
As Sister Wives fans know, Christine and Kody are now divorced. Christine made her split from Kody public in November 2021 via Instagram.
