What does Kody Brown do for work?

When Sister Wives fans were first introduced to the Browns in 2010, he and his wives, Janelle Brown and Meri Brown, all had jobs, while Christine Brown was the primary caretaker of the children. Kody was doing some kind of online ad sales work. According to E!, Kody was the president of Das Hundhaus Firearms and Accessories for a time.

Beyond that, there’s little information about what Kody does for work. Right now, he’s very active on Cameo, where he makes personalized videos for fans. As of Jan 2022, Kody charges $99 for a personalized video and $420 for a video for “company, customers, or employees.” In addition to Kody, Christine, Janelle, and Meri are also on Cameo.

How much does Kody Brown and the family make from ‘Sister Wives’?

The Brown family has appeared on their TLC television show, Sister Wives, for 16 seasons. TLC’s reality producer, Terence Michael, estimated (via E!) that The Browns take home about 10% of the show’s per-episode budget.

With the Sister Wives episodes costing anywhere between $250,000 and $400,000 per episode. This means the Browns would take home around $25,000 to $40,000 per episode. Over the course of 16 seasons, it means that the Browns have made at minimum around $4.5 million. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Kody Brown is estimated to be worth around $800,000.

The Brown family’s financial trouble

However, the family has had its share of financial troubles. In 2005, Sister Wives fans recall that Kody and Meri filed for bankruptcy. Then, Christine eventually filed for bankruptcy in 2010.
