Sister Wives fans logging into discovery+ this morning will be a bit disappointed. The highly anticipated third installment of the tell-all episode won’t be airing this week. Instead, fans will be treated to alternative programming. So, when will TLC air the season 16’s final tell-all, and why have they opted to push off the airing?

Season 16 of ‘Sister Wives’ is wrapping up with a bombshell announcement

Season 16 of Sister Wives brought big changes to the Brown family. Part 1 and part 2 of the tell-all episode have also brought big revelations. The Brown family isn’t done yet, either. The teaser for the third and final installment promises an announcement that will change the Brown family.

So, what is the big announcement? While it is being incredibly hyped, not all fans are convinced the announcement will be a big deal. Many viewers think Christine Brown will announce her big move during the final installment of the tell-all. After separating from Kody Brown, Christine sold her Flagstaff, Arizona home and moved to Utah. While fans were made aware of that decision months ago, Sister Wives has yet to address it.

TLC will not air the third installment of the tell-all on February 13

Episodes 1 and 2 of the famed tell-all episodes aired on January 30 and February 6, respectively. Each installment brought big revelations. In part 1, Meri Brown revealed that she and her husband, Kody Brown, haven’t had sex in more than a decade. In episode 2, fans found Kody admitting that he was not “in love” with Janelle Brown, his second wife. The revelation left fans to ascertain that the polygamist is, effectively, a monogamist now. With so much momentum, fans are confused about the decision to put off the release of the third installment.

Nothing major seems to have happened to the Brown family, and there doesn’t appear to be any scandal brewing. Instead, it looks as though TLC has chosen to push the episode forward one week to accommodate the Super Bowl. While counterprogramming against the big game was once common, networks have opted to avoid the practice in recent years. The Super Bowl kicks off on February 13 at 6:30 pm and will air on NBC and Peacock.

When will part 3 of the ‘Sister Wives’ tell-all be available for streaming?

While fans will need to wait a bit to find out what the Brown family has up their sleeves, the wait won’t be too long. According to several television schedules, Part 3 of the tell-all episode will air on February 20, 2021, at 10 pm on TLC. Sister Wives has occupied the Sunday at 10pm timeslot for years.

TLC has not released an official statement, but it is assumed the network will follow the same practice with the third installment that they used with previous episodes. Discovery+ subscribers will have access to the episode in the early morning hours of February 20. All previous Sister Wives tell-all installments are currently available for streaming.
