American businessperson Martha Stewart and rapper/record producer Snoop Dogg inhabit two different worlds in pop culture. She’s known for her curated lifestyle brand and manicured designer approach to home goods, lifestyle, and cooking. He’s famous for platinum-certified hits like “Gin & Juice” and “What’s My Name” and his affinity for marijuana products.

Yet, the celebrities have been spotted together in public numerous times, leading observers to wonder if the two are romantically involved.

The rapper and the lifestyle guru met in 2008 when Stewart invited Snoop onto her TV show to cook together.

“I have to say that my life is very interesting and also kind of weird,” Stewart wrote in her November 2008 entry on TheMarthaBlog.com. “I’m so fortunate in that I get to meet fascinating people … Yesterday, the multi-platinum rap artist, Snoop Dogg, appeared on my television show and taught me some of his very own language called Snoop-guistics.”

After detailing how Dogg and his friends add “izzle” to the end of words — “it’s kind of a code or a way of communicating,” Stewart explained. The two cooked mashed potatoes together.

This soon became a recurring bit, with Stewart repeatedly inviting Snoop onto her TV show to chat, laugh, and cook recipes. In 2009, for example, he joined her during the holiday season to bake cookies on the show.

Dogg and Stewart grew closer in the 2010s and began doing projects together

After they appeared together on Stewart’s TV show several times, their connection went quiet.

“I wish I were closer friends with Snoop Dogg,” Stewart said in 2014 in a Reddit “Ask Me Anything” thread.

“Sadly, nothing came of it until 2015, when the two reconnected at the Comedy Central Roast of Justin Bieber,” People reported. “Stewart later confessed to Seth Meyers that Snoop had gotten her high off of ‘big fat’ joints.”

After this, they began working together and partnered on various projects. For instance, People reported that the two appeared on game shows and even launched their own cooking show together on VH1. Most recently, they banded together to promote a chip brand.

So, are they dating?

Stewart and Snoop have a “unique chemistry,” Rolling Stone notes.

“I’ve never met anyone like Martha Stewart,” Snoop told the magazine. “When we come together, it’s a natural combination of love, peace, and harmony.”

And now, audiences are wondering if the two are dating or dated in the past.

“Everybody’s trying to figure that out,” Stewart told Us Magazine. “I think it’s just that we’re an odd pair, and people like contrast, right?”

Yet despite the two using terms like “love” and “odd pair,” they’ve made it clear they’re not and have never been romantically involved.

“She’s the big sister I never had,” Dogg clarified in an interview on MarthaStewart.com. “Being able to correct me, to teach me, to show me how to be better, to give me something to aspire to be.”

“I like his laid-back energy,” Stewart added. “I like his outspokenness, I like his sense of timing, and I really enjoy [watching] him cook.”
