Previously in Snowfall, Franklin (Damson Idris) and Leon (Isaiah John) taught his then-girlfriend, Wanda (Gail Bean), how to cook their product. She ended up inhaling it one day and almost immediately got addicted. She is now known in the neighborhood as someone with a bad reputation who will do anything to get high.

On the other hand, Franklin’s on-and-off girlfriend, Melody (Reign Edwards), is going to Spellman University soon. Extremely smart and the daughter of a dedicated police officer, Mel seemed to be on her way. However, she tried crack for the first time at a party the night before she left for college.

In Snowfall Season 3 Episode 7, Franklin saw first-hand how his product ruins lives.

Mel went missing

Andre (Marcus Henderson) woke up around 11 a.m. only to see his daughter never came home from the party the night before. He called his cop friends over for help, and they received a call that they found his car. His vehicle was found in a bad side of town, completely dismantled.

He then asked around if anyone had seen her, before walking in Franklin’s house and asking for his assistance. Franklin picked his best friend, Leon, up, and they started with their bodyguard, Fatback (Jordan Coleman).

The young kid who wants to work for Leon overheard and said he saw her in a car with Wanda around 7:30 that morning. After everything that happened with Wanda, Leon is sure that they’re out doing crack together.

While Franklin initially laughed the situation off, his best friend warned him that Mel would be “gone.” The two went to Manboy (Melvin Gregg), and his friend knew where Wanda buys her drugs.

They went to the crack house and found Mel’s Spellman University sweatshirt on the ground, with blood on it. After they went inside the house and interrogated the dealers, Franklin received a call with Mel’s whereabouts.

Mel’s series of unfortunate events in ‘Snowfall’ Season 3 Episode 7

Fifteen hours before Franklin received the call, Mel got home from the party and immediately wanted more crack. Therefore, she took $20 out of the money Franklin gave her, stole her dad’s car, and went looking for the drug.

Wanda came out of nowhere, jumped into the vehicle, and concocted a bizarre story to get Mel to share the crack with her. After she took Wanda to the drug house, the dealers ran out and highjacked her father’s car.

Wanda invited Mel to smoke “until they came back,” and then they went to Mel’s job at the bowling alley for drinks. They continued to smoke there until the high, and the crack supply ran out. Wanda then punched and kicked Mel in the face to steal her necklace.

Immediately, she went back to the crack house attempting to sell the jewelry, before Mel showed up and took her necklace back. Mel then went to a different place to get high, where Franklin eventually found her.

Franklin had to drag her out of the house, kicking and screaming. He realized Leon was right about how crack does take over people. Franklin dropped Mel off at her house and refused to tell her dad where he found her. Instead, he only warned Andre to never let Mel out of his sight again.

Teddy’s ex-wife wants him out of the life

While Jules (Peta Sergeant) and Teddy (Carter Hudson) packed up cocaine, she admitted she was falling back in love with him. Jules also said he could have her, his son, and his job again if they stopped what they’re doing.

Even though he claimed he couldn’t stop now, she said the Contras have enough money coming in elsewhere. His ex-wife also said there are other ways he can serve, but the episode ended before she answered. To see if Teddy will take her offer, watch Snowfall Wednesdays at 10 p.m. EST on FX.
