Sure, there are some holiday movies already available on Disney’s subscription service. If you’re looking for some new movies to binge-watch, though, Disney+ has you covered. Here are just a few of the new films joining the streaming library.

‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special’

With season 2 of this original series still in the works, viewers are returning to the world of East High for some holiday cheer. High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special features iconic holiday and Christmas songs, as well as some originals for cast members like Joshua Bassett. This special premieres on Dec. 11.

‘Ralph Breaks the Internet’

Ralph Breaks the Internet is the sequel to Wreck-It-Ralph, a movie already available on Disney+. In this sequel, though, Ralph and Vanellope travel to a mysterious unknown place — the internet. They even meet a few Disney Princesses along the way.

This film was previously available on Disney’s rival streaming platform, Netflix. Along with movies like Avengers: Infinity War, Incredibles 2, and Princess and the Frog, it has since made the switch to Disney+. Now, this animated film will be available for viewing on Disney+ starting on Dec.11.

‘Into the Woods’

It all started with a wish. This movie musical features actors like Anna Kendrick, Chris Pine, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt. Together, their characters venture into the woods in search of what they wish. (But are they certain what they wish is what they want?)

Into the Woods is available for streaming on Dec. 18. Until then, fans can watch movie musicals like The Sound of Music and Newsies, as well as live stage productions like ABC’s The Little Mermaid Live!

‘Soul’

What makes a person who they are? In this animated movie, Disney and Pixar fans will learn about one musician and mentor as he goes on a pretty incredible adventure. This movie was, of course, scheduled for a June 2020 theatrical release. That was postponed, along with movies like Mulan and Black Widow.

Now, Soul will be available to all Disney+ subscribers on Dec. 25, 2020. (Unlike the live-action Mulan, this will not be a “Premier Access” movie, meaning that all subscribers can watch it anytime, as many times as they’d like, on any device.)

‘Max Keeble’s Big Move’

Finding out you’re moving is pretty big news, especially for one middle school student, who plans to get revenge on everyone who picked on him in the past.

Max’s actions quickly backfire when he learns that his family isn’t moving after all. The Disney release, Max Keeble’s Big Move, will be available for streaming on Disney+ starting on Dec. 25.

There are plenty of other movies released on Disney Channel already available for streaming, including Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century, The Cheetah Girls, The Luck of the Irish, and High School Musical. To learn more about Disney+ and to subscribe, visit their website.
