On the heels of Cameran Eubanks‘ departure from Southern Charm, Thomas Ravenel surreptitiously added two more people to that list. The problem is they haven’t made an official announcement.

In a two-part tweet, Ravenel wrote, “So Cameran [Eubanks] Wimberly, Chelsea Meisner, Naomie Olindo as did I refused to return for another season of Southern Charm. I obviously know why. Is anyone curious?”

Eubanks made an official statement on Instagram, but Olindo only hinted that she may not return to the series. Chelsea Meissner also hasn’t made any public statements, nor has she hinted that she may not return. However, gossip is now mounting of her departure too.

Eubanks has had to deal with more than gracefully leaving the show

Eubanks simply answered a fan question about her departure. She later planned to pen a letter to fans. But she was taken aback by gossip articles and rumors, which dampened the moment.

Her letter now expressed disappointment and frustration that some blogs and gossip implied her marriage was in jeopardy. She wrote that the gossip alone was one good reason to walk away from reality television. This example was why she kept her private life off-camera.

“Please disregard any fabricated rumor,” she wrote. “It’s a ploy for ratings and that’s it.” She continued by saying she made the decision to leave months ago and knows, especially now, it was the right decision.

Ravenel insists that edits are the reason why cast members leave

Ravenel shared on Twitter that editing was mainly to blame, tweeting that producers only have a small window of time to pack in countless hours of footage. While Ravenel insists editing was the reason why he didn’t return, Bravo may have a different opinion.

Following his arrest for alleged assault and battery second degree, Ravenel’s attorney released a statement from his client. Producer Andy Cohen read the statement during the season 5 reunion. “Along with Bravo, our client made the mutual decision not to attend today’s reunion taping as there is a pending investigation,” Bravo’s The Daily Dish reports.

“Our client is fully cooperating with authorities on that investigation. He expects to be completely vindicated once the investigation is concluded. He sends his best regards to his fans and his fellow castmates.” After the reunion, he did not return to the show.

Ravenel says storylines can be ‘fictionalized’

Ravenel’s second tweet addressed contracts. “For one 40 minute episode they film 40 hours yet as a cast member you can’t utter the word ‘edit.’ They show you a character acting badly but cut the part out that provoked the bad behavior. Their contract says they have the right to ‘fictionalize’ your story, it’s really bad,” he wrote.

In an unassociated show, an editor from Vanderpump Rules recently dropped a bombshell on a podcast about using edits to make cast member, Scheana Shay to look embarrassing.

“If Scheana knows what’s good for her, she’d befriend me because my favorite game is finding all the embarrassing things that Scheana does and putting them all in,” the editor shared Page Six recounts.

Southern Charm was filming the upcoming season but paused due to the pandemic.
