Here are all the rumored cameos for ‘Spider-Man 3’

Fans started to speculate about which characters will appear in Spider-Man 3 ever since Disney inked a deal with Sony to keep the character in the MCU. The new deal allows Marvel one more stand-alone film plus an appearance in a future crossover project.

There have been a slew of rumors about potential cameos, with the most consistent being an appearance from Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man. Holland has not spoiled anything about the movie, but he has expressed an interest in working with Rudd in the past.

Sources also claim that Spider-Man 3 will feature up to four different villains, namely Scorpion and Kraven the Hunter. No word yet on who might play these characters, but it would be interesting to see Peter take on multiple foes.

Marvel has not confirmed any of these rumors, but there is one report that the studio is desperately trying to keep under wraps.

This Marvel character will join Tom Holland

Despite the studio’s efforts to keep it a secret, an inside source told We Got This Covered that Marvel will introduce Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in Spider-Man 3. The source noted that Marvel is doing everything in its power to keep this a secret, which means we won’t get any confirmation until after the film hits theaters.

The insider also claims that Marvel is planning on releasing a Daredevil movie with Cox reprising his role as Matt Murdock. The actor currently plays the hero in the Netflix series by the same name.

Few characters have made the jump from television to the MCU, but we know for sure Marvel is expanding that list in Phase 4. Characters from She-Hulk, for example, are expected to play a major part in the MCU moving forward.

Unfortunately, without official confirmation, fans will have to wait until Spider-Man 3 opens in theaters in 2021 to find out if Daredevil makes an appearance.

‘Spider-Man 3’ is currently in development

While we wait for more leaks, director Jon Watts has officially started development on Spider-Man 3. Filming for the project is expected to begin this summer, and Watts just released the working title for the movie: Serenity Now.

The title is a reference to an episode of Seinfeld, something that Watts has done for both of the previous films in the franchise. For Spider-Man: Homecoming, the working title was Summer of George, while Spider-Man: Far From Home’s title was Fall of George.

It is unclear if the title has anything to do with the plot, but Peter could definitely use some serenity following the events in Far From Home.

In the finale moments of the movie, Peter’s identity as Spider-Man was revealed to the world, something that will undoubtedly make his life difficult.

Will Tom Holland reveal what he knows?

Despite Holland’s penchant for dropping major spoilers, the actor recently claimed that Marvel has told him everything about what’s to come for Spider-Man. According to Comic Book, Holland revealed that he already did his pitch to the studio and that he understands the need to keep things tightly under wraps.

“I know everything now. I had my big pitch meeting with Marvel and Sony about two weeks, and I know all the secrets,” Holland shared. “But I’ve also done about a thousand interviews, so I know how to not spoil a movie anymore.”

Holland added that he is very excited about reprising the role of Spider-Man for one more stand-alone film. He also assured fans that this is not the end of the road for the character, who is expected to have a cameo in Marvel’s next big crossover project.

That, of course, will likely happen much further down the road as Marvel is not slated to release any major ensembles until after Phase 4 is over. Luckily, there are plenty of projects for fans to enjoy before then.

Spider-Man 3, meanwhile, is scheduled to premiere in theaters on July 16, 2021.
