The latest Marvel film, Spider-Man: Far From Home, lands in theaters on July 2, 2019. Like its predecessors, there are plenty of new and returning big names starring in the film. So who is worth the most? You may be surprised at the order of this list, ranked from highest to lowest in terms of net worth.

Samuel L. Jackson

No real shock here — Jackson is the biggest movie star on this list by a lot. Before he was Nick Fury, Jackson starred in countless popular films, from big-budget flicks like Jurassic Park and Star Wars: Episodes 1-3 to acclaimed projects like Goodfellas and Pulp Fiction. Jackson’s hefty $220 million net worth can be attributed to those films, the MCU, and his large canon of voice acting roles.

Jake Gyllenhaal

The runner-up on this list probably doesn’t surprise many either. Gyllenhaal has been a fixture in Hollywood since he played the titular role in the cult hit Donnie Darko almost 20 years ago. Since then, he has continued to win over critics and audiences with his roles in indie films like Brokeback Mountain and big-budget fare such as The Day After Tomorrow. With a net worth of $65 million, Gyllenhaal certainly wasn’t hurting for his Marvel paycheck.

Jon Favreau

Through the Spider-Man films, Happy Hogan has been able to continue the supportive role he began with the Iron Man trilogy. Favreau hasn’t had a large role in most of the Marvel films, but that’s because he spends a lot of time behind the camera — in addition to directing Iron Man and Iron Man 2, he’s been at the helm of two Disney reboots: The Jungle Book and the upcoming The Lion King. Favreau is worth approximately $60 million.

Marisa Tomei

We don’t foresee Aunt May getting too much screentime in Far From Home, given that Peter and his classmates will be in Europe for most of it. But given her status, Tomei probably makes a fairly lofty amount for working with Marvel.

She won an Academy Award for My Cousin Vinny back in the early ‘90s, and ever since, she’s managed to establish a steady film career filled with substantial roles. Tomei’s $20 million net worth, according to Celebrity Net Worth, is nothing to scoff at.

Cobie Smulders

In addition to a few nice Marvel paychecks for her appearances in The Avengers, Captain America: Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame, and the TV series Agents of SHIELD, Smulders starred on a little show called How I Met Your Mother, a CBS sitcom, for nine seasons. So while she’s not at the same pay grade as many of her co-stars, her $18 million net worth has the actress living comfortably, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Zendaya

Yup, that’s right — MJ is worth more than Peter Parker! Despite being only 22, Zendaya’s been making money in Hollywood for a decade, after she landed one of the starring roles in the Disney Channel series Shake It Up!

Spider-Man: Homecoming was the triple threat’s big-screen debut, but since then, she’s appeared in the acclaimed musical drama The Greatest Showman, and her new HBO drama, Euphoria, just premiered. So expect to see that $5 million net worth increase very soon.

J.B. Smoove

Stand-up comedian J.B. Smoove was a writer on Saturday Night Live before he began recurring on Curb Your Enthusiasm. Since then, he’s continued to act one-off episodes of numerous series such as The League and New Girl.

Smoove also starred on the Will Arnett sitcom The Millers. Celebrity Net Worth estimates he’s worth around $5 million at this time. Smoove plays Mr. Dell, a teacher on the school trip, in Far From Home

Tom Holland

Oddly enough, the star with his (superhero) name in the movie is one of the least wealthy actors in it. This is likely because, before his first MCU appearance in Captain America: Civil War, Holland had only had one film role of note, in Ron Howard’s In the Heart of the Sea.

Since then, he’s been preoccupied playing Peter Parker. But Holland’s $4 million net worth is projected to grow exponentially over the next couple of years, as he has five known films in the works.

Martin Starr

Starr, who may be best known for his roles in the greater Judd Apatow movieverse, returns as Roger Harrington, the coach of the academic decathlon team at Peter’s school. He’s been in the business for a long time, getting his start with the Apatow-produced series Freaks and Geeks.

In addition to his many films, Starr has continued to maintain a presence on TV, starring in the short-lived Starz series Party Down and the acclaimed HBO show Silicon Valley. While $3 million may not seem impressive, it’s pretty good for someone who has rarely been the leading man.

Jacob Batalon

Given his relative newcomer status, Batalon, who plays Peter’s best friend, Ned, is the most likely choice for the lowest-earning spot. He made cameos in Infinity War and Endgame, but aside from those, he hasn’t taken on any roles on note since Homecoming. Batalon’s net worth is difficult to determine at this point, but Celeb Body Size estimates it’s around $1 million.
