It finally happened: Tobey Maguire, Tom Holland, and Andrew Garfield recreated the Spider-Man pointing meme. Sony shared the official image on Feb. 23 to promote Spider-Man: No Way Home’s upcoming digital and Blu-Ray release. While this is certainly an exciting moment in Spider-Man history, many fans can only focus on Tobey Maguire’s butt. Here’s why.

Tom Holland admitted 1 Spidey actor in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ wore a fake butt

As probably everyone on the internet knows by now, Holland, Maguire, and Garfield reunited as the three Spider-Man iterations in Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was such a groundbreaking collaboration that nobody noticed the difference between the actors: one of them wore a fake butt under their Spider-Man suit. That’s according to Holland, who recently spilled the costume secret on Late Night with Seth Meyers.

“I’ll give you a spoiler. And I’m not going to tell you who, but one of us has a fake a** in their suit,” Holland said.

A few moments later, Holland seemed to take himself out of the running by saying he looked at the other person’s butt on set. So, it looks like either Maguire or Garfield had the fake derriere.

Many fans wonder if Tobey Maguire had the fake butt after seeing a new promo image

Of course, fans on the internet went mad trying to determine if it was Maguire or Garfield. People pulled out comparison photos of the two actors in everyday life and entered a heated debate on Twitter. Eventually, “Tobey Maguire” started trending as many fans came to the conclusion that he probably had the fake butt under his Spider-Man suit.

Now, the new promo image featuring Holland, Maguire, and Garfield has added to the theory about Maguire. In the shot, the three actors stood in a circle while wearing their Spider-Man suits and pointing at each other. Interestingly, only Maguire’s backside is visible in the photo. Fans immediately zeroed in on his butt to determine if it looked real.

“Now we know Tobey is the one using the fake butt,” one person wrote on Twitter.

“Are they deliberately showing Tobey’s a**, so we all get confirmation that we know it was him that has the fake butt? Cause if you’ve seen Mainstream, you know it ain’t Andrew,” another user added.

“I wish I could be Tobey’s butt implants in my next life,” someone joked.

On the other hand, some fans still adamantly believe Garfield had the fake.

“Tobey’s butt looks real in this … Tom’s butt is real we know that … Only person whose butt we can’t see is Andrew’s. Andrew has the fake butt. WAKE UP SHEEPLE,” one user added.
