Stardew Valley’s Abigail is one of over 30 unique NPCs baked into the game by developer ConcernedApe. Abigail has an interest in the occult, something that seems to get under her mother’s skin at times. Also, based on Abigail’s gift preferences and replies, it seems she has some odd eating habits. That is to say, in Stardew Valley Abigail eats rocks. Just trust me on this one, it’s canon.

Stardew Valley’s Abigail has her own unique lists of likes and dislikes, alongside the universal ones provided to most NPCs. Fans will notice that, like her hair, a few of her loved gifts are purple — it seems we have a theme here.

In addition to all of the typical universal loves, Abigail especially enjoys amethyst (see, purple), blackberry cobbler (kinda purple), and banana pudding (comes in a purple bowl). In addition, she loves chocolate cake, pufferfish, pumpkins, and a nice plate of spicy eel.

Abigail’s likes include the universal list, as well as quartz. Beyond that, she has no other unique likes. A pretty short list this time around.

Abigail’s neutral gifts include all milk, and all the typical universal neutrals. She’s also neutral towards all types of mushrooms and many foraged goods, including daffodils, dandelions, ginger, hazelnuts, leeks, snow yams, and winter roots.

When it comes to her disliked gifts, Abigail will be pretty bummed if you give her any eggs, vegetables (except hops, pumpkin, tea leaves, and wheat), and any fruits (except fruit tree fuit). She also dislikes sugar and wild horseradish.

If you want to maintain a good relationship with Abigail, avoid giving her clay or holly, alongside any other universal hates.

Stardew Valley’s cast of characters is very unique — each one has something to bring to the table in terms of personality and interests. And also dietary habits. For example, Abigail eats rocks.

So how do we know Abigail has unbreakable chompers? Well, when you give Abigail a gift she likes, she’ll reply, “Hey, how’d you know I was hungry? This looks delicious!”

In Stardew Valley, Abigail’s only unique like is quartz. Additionally, universal likes include foraged minerals, as well as all gems. That means if you give Abigail quartz or a diamond, for example, she’ll tell you it looks delicious.

Naturally, this means that Abigail eats rocks. I don’t care what anyone has to say, the line is there, and Abigail eats rocks.

Stardew Valley is rife with secrets and lore, including some speculation about Abigail and the Wizard. Fans have been theorizing for a while now that the two may be related — specifically that the Wizard is Abigail’s father.

This comes from several interactions, including one in which Pierre mentions concern that Abigail isn’t his daughter. There’s another one in which Caroline mentions secretly walking to the Wizard’s tower often in the past, and an additional interaction with the Wizard in which he says he believes a townsperson may be his daughter.

Fans have also noted that Abigail has purple hair and an interest in the occult, just like the Wizard. However, others have pointed out that Caroline mentions that Abigail dyes her hair.
