Most contestants in The Bachelor franchise never make it to the final rose. After a tearful exit, they can leave the series for good, or hope for a second chance at love on Bachelor in Paradise. And while many couples have met that way, other Bachelor Nation pairings have met outside of any installment in the franchise. Here are some of those couples who have been in it together for the long run.

Ann Lueders and Jesse Csincsak

Four months after winning the fourth season of The Bachelorette, Jesse Csincsak called off his wedding to DeAnna Pappas. Two years later, he met Ann Lueders, who Jason Mesnick eliminated in the first week of his season of The Bachelor

The pair met at an event hosted by Csincsak in 2010 and married the same year. At the time of their wedding, Lueders was four months pregnant. Since then, US Weekly reports that they have welcomed two more children.

Peyton and Chris Lambton

Chris Lambton was a finalist on Ali Fedotowsky’s season of The Bachelorette. The same year, Peyton Wright competed on Andy Baldwin’s season of The Bachelor. Though both went home with a broken heart, they soon met through Jesse Beck, a contestant alongside Lambton. Beck convinced Wright to drive to North Carolina for an event.

“I was kind of on the fence but for some reason I woke up Saturday morning and said, ‘I’m gonna drive to Raleigh,” she told Glamour

“Best drive I ever made,” she added. “I think about what if I hadn’t gone? I wonder if Chris and I would have ever crossed paths again.”

After their wedding in 2012, the couple has since welcomed two children and appeared on several HGTV shows together.

Elizabeth Kitt and Ty Brown

In 2010, Elizabeth Kitt was eliminated in the third week of Jake Pavelka’s second attempt at leading The Bachelor. Ty Brown made it to the seventh week of Ali Fedotowsky’s season before she sent him home. After meeting at a charity event, the couple wed in March 2014.

“We had just immediate family in attendance,” they told Us Weekly. “We wrote our own vows, so the ceremony was very intimate and personal.”

In 2018, Kitt gave birth to the couple’s first child.

Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick

Perhaps the most famous Bachelor franchise couple who met outside the respective seasons is Kaitlyn Bristowe and Jason Tartick. In 2018, Bristowe ended her engagement with the winner of her season of The Bachelorette, Shawn Booth. Becca Kufrin eliminated Tartick from her own season of The Bachelorette
