The third season of the show giving us a peek into the complicated lives of the fictional Roy family is all set to come out in October. As more details about the filming of the show have been coming out, the excitement among Succession fans has been growing. In an interview with Vulture, while filming for the show in Italy, the cast of the show revealed many interesting tidbits about how it is interacting with each other when the cameras are not rolling.

In a fascinating conversation, Jeremy Strong, who plays the role of Kendall Roy, was given the title of being the ‘concierge of the show’ by one of his colleagues.

Who gave this title to Strong?

While onscreen Cousin Greg appears as a dawdling extended member of the Roy family, Nicholas Braun is not quite the same. While filming for the third season in Italy, the cast had the opportunity to explore the Italian countryside in their own cliques and they made good use of it.

Talking about spending time off the set, Braun, said that it was nice to get dinners with Matthew Macfadyen, who plays Shiv Roy’s husband Tom, and Strong. Further, he added that Strong’s extensive knowledge and list of recommendations for good places to eat earned him the title of the “show’s concierge.”

“If you need a good hotel, a good restaurant in literally any city in the world, he[Strong] knows where to go,” Braun said. “He’s in contact with chefs and hoteliers. Like, it’s crazy.”

How did Strong react to the title?

The idea that he was called the show’s concierge by his fellow castmate made Strong blush.

As part of his preparation to play the role of Kendall Roy in the third season, especially after bringing the ax down on his father Logan Roy in the season two finale, Strong tried to stay away from the other members of the cast.

Strong believes, more so in the third season, Kendall is alone and away from the Roy family members. In order to appear that way, he consciously forbade himself from being a part of the group on the sets of the show.

To then receive a compliment from one of his colleagues about his inclination toward having good food outside made Strong both happy and awkward.

“No, listen, I mean … Thanks, Nick[Braun],” Strong said.

When is Season 3 coming out?

While Strong’s capacity to know about the best restaurants in every city is impressive, what the fans are waiting to hear about is what happens when the battle for Waystar Royco., the fictional media conglomerate, begins in the third season of the show.

Speaking of Kendall’s state of mind in the aftermath of the press conference where he betrays his father, Strong said that in a way, Kendall had crowned himself the winner at the end of season two. But as the next season begins, there is a sense of not knowing what comes next.

“There’s this almost sense of, ‘now what?’” Strong said.

Well, that is the question season three will answer this Fall.
