Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is one of the most anticipated DC video games coming out in the near future, and fans are even more pumped about the upcoming release after DC FanDome. The game’s trailer debuted during the virtual event, and it promises to be every bit as bloody as James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad.

‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’ is the next game in the ‘Batman: Arkham’ series

The Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is part of the Batman: Arkham series of games from Rocksteady Studios and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. An action-adventure shooter, the game pits the Suicide Squad team against the villain Brainiac, who has taken control of the Justice League.

Of course, that also sees them going head to head with the Justice League heroes. And although the team of rogues is clever and conniving, taking down the likes of Superman and Batman is no easy feat. There’s sure to be a body count in the upcoming game — in fact, the new trailer promises it.

DC FanDome unveils bloody first look at ‘Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League’

The trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League debuted at DC FanDome on Oct. 16. The first look is reminiscent of James Gunn’s recent film, opening with Amanda Waller welcoming the characters to her task force. Of course, that welcome involves her shocking the gang — and the violence doesn’t stop there.

The footage of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League shows off plenty of gruesome action as the team follows Waller’s command to kill the DC heroes. Just like in the film, it appears no one is safe. For players, that’s likely to be part of the fun.

The tail end of the trailer even shows someone losing a head, Superman breaking out his laser vision, and the gang having Waller shock someone for fun. It ends with King Shark asking her to “blow up his head,” a moment as comical as it is dark. That humor is just another thing the game will share with The Suicide Squad movie.
