After a season of massive flirting and hooking up, Hannah Berner from Summer House confirms she and Luke Gulbranson are not dating.

Berner plans to address their relationship during the reunion, held tonight at 10/9c on Bravo. But she recently dished with ET and admitted their relationship is complicated.

“We’ve gotten to this place where it’s just this kind of weird — we’re friends and we respect each other, but we also have this, like, attraction to each other,” Berner said. “We’re both not in the place to date each other. But he’s one of those people in my life, like, I don’t know what he is to me, but he’s definitely a special person and we both really do care not to hurt each other.”

Although they slept in the same bed, they never had sex

The big question everyone had in the house was if Gulbranson and Berner consummated their relationship. “We’ve never had sex,” she admitted to ET.

But she added that they talk often. She’s hosted a few Instagram Live chats with Gulbranson over the past month too. “Ever since the day I met him, I’ve spoken to him every single day, which is kind of wild,” she said. “Like, even Paige [DeSorbo] and I take a break every now and then.”

Berner said that while she and Gulbranson talk all the time, their relationships still remains “really complicated and pretty annoying.” Gulbranson told Showbiz Cheat Sheet before the season launched he felt especially close to Berner.

The reunion sparked tensions

Even though they filmed last summer, Berner and Paige DeSorbo told ET the reunion was so tense, everyone retreated for a few days after filming. “I think our group chat was pretty silent for, like, the next three days,” DeSorbo shared. Berner added that she was shocked at “how angry some people still are at each other.”

Berner says relationships are put to the test now that the cast has a higher profile on social media. “I don’t know if it’s ’cause the show’s more popular, and because we’ve been getting more backlash on social media, but, like, there are a bunch of relationships that are just like a little bit in rough waters right now. And the reunion, you definitely see a lot of the tension.”

Gulbranson and Berner apparently get into an explosive fight before the reunion too. Which DeSorbo referred to as “great entertainment.” Desorbo said, “From the end of filming this summer, we had things we wanted to say and I think we really unleashed them all at the reunion. But I will say that Lindsay [Hubbard] and I had a conversation after the reunion and are totally fine.”

“The thing I always say about when Lindsay and I fight is, it’s actually because we have a very similar personality, where if we feel a certain way, we just can’t hold it in,” DeSorbo continued. “And sometimes it’s just a little bit messy when it comes out but… it feels good to get it off my chest.”
