Soon, the Supernatural family will say goodbye to the series that brought us sarcastic demons, warmongering angels, time traveling secret societies, and a pair of badass brothers who fight and love hard.

It won’t be easy for fans or for the team behind Supernatural, but at least when it’s over, everyone can still stream it.

Still, in the spirit of camaraderie and shared passion for the show, we can all reminisce about our favorite scenes, episodes, quotes, or characters. In fact, the cast of Supernatural recently did that during an interview segment. Check out what some of their favorite moments are since the series began.

Jensen Ackles

During an interview with TV Guide, Ackles and his castmates sat down and chopped it up about some of their best memories – for their characters. Ackles, who plays Dean, cited the “Changing Channels” episode from season five.

He said he was happy he didn’t fall victim to the nutcracker for getting the wrong answer. If you don’t remember that bit, the Winchesters were on a Japanese game show and if they gave the wrong answer, a giant nutcracker crank popped up and hit them in the you-know-what.

Other highlights for Ackles include Dean killing Hitler and his character having a threesome while a jealous Sam sat waiting alone in the car.

Jared Padalecki

Padalecki couldn’t nail down just one thing, but the first one he mentioned was Sam doing the make-out scenes with demon Ruby. As most fans know, he went on to marry the actress that played Ruby, Genevieve Cortese.

Back in season three, Sam got real about just wanting Dean to be his brother, and for Padalecki, that clicked and turned the tide for him and his character. It’s stuck with him.

Misha Collins

Collins took on the role of beloved angel Castiel years ago, and he shared one of his most-loved moments was Cass’s first entry into Supernatural. Lights were sparking and bullets were absorbed into his body as walked toward Dean and Bobby. It was too cool!

That was an angel thing, but ironically, one of his other faves is when Cass became human. He had to learn about the world without his angelic powers, and that included catching a cold, eating toothpaste, and driving.

Alexander Calvert

Now a somewhat detached member of the Winchester family tree, Calvert’s Jack is the Nephilim brother no one is sure how to handle.

Though his character was introduced a couple seasons ago, Calvert said one of his fondest memories was just walking around naked on set. Fans will remember that was shortly after Jack’s birth when he quickly went from baby to teenager/young adult.

The other thing Calvert loves? He says it’s the finale which hasn’t aired yet. Perhaps that’s a subtle clue that Jack will make it all the way to the end in some way or form. He also loved filming with Lucifer, aka Mark Pellegrino.

Don’t forget that Supernatural returns to The CW on Monday, March 16 at 8 p.m. EST. It’s the series’ new time slot going forward until the show’s momentous finale airs in May. Tune in.
