What happened on ‘Survivor 40: Winners at War’ Episode 6?

When the three tribes arrived at the immunity challenge, Jeff Probst informed them that two of the tribes would be heading to a tribal council that evening. This was a massive shock to everyone who thought only one tribe was on the chopping block.

After an intense challenge, Dakal and Sele lost and were forced to head back to camp and discuss who might be voted off next.

Tony Vlachos is still part of the Dakal tribe, but since the tribe swap, there are only five members. Dakal includes Sandra Diaz-Twine, Jeremy Collins, Kim Spradlin-Wolfe, Denise Stapley, and Tony. With a small number of players at the camp, it was apparent when Tony disappeared that he was in his spy shack.

Sandra knew immediately where he was. When Tony emerged from the spy shack, Kim and Sandra laughed with him. The man gets very nervous on tribal council days and resorts to hiding in the bushes to see if he hears anyone talking about him. Thankfully, his name wasn’t written down at tribal that night, and he lived to spy another day.

Fans cannot get enough of Tony’s spy shack on ‘Survivor’

“My favorite part [is the spy shack]. As much as they’re all out there to win, I think Tony is also out there to have fun,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “He’s so enjoyable to watch when he’s in his element. Especially when that element is a Spy Shack.”

Although hiding in the bushes while your alliance talks strategy does seem like a bad move, fans agree that it was one of the best moments of the entire episode.

“I love how this time he pretty much explicitly states it’s a coping mechanism to help him chill out when he’s super stressed,” another Redditor added. “When times get tough, he makes a spy shack. Sandra seemed to understand that, and the love she and Kim gave him when they hauled him out was beautiful.”

Luckily his alliance knows that the spy shack is Tony’s way of coping with the stress of tribal council because fans want him to stay.

“Tony has brought nothing but pure joy this season. I’m honestly such a big fan now, and I was kinda meh before,” added another fan.

Could Tony Vlachos win ‘Survivor 40: Winners at War’?

When Tony won Survivor Cagayan, he spent the first few days building a spy shack. That season he also had many loveable fan-favorite moments. After the merge, Tony became a significant player of huge moves in the game. So far this season, he has been mostly fun, with hardly any strategy.

“He’s so entertaining and funny, he’s the unicorn of winners with his chaotic nature,” a fan wrote on Reddit.

Fans feel he is flying mostly under the radar. Although he is a huge threat, he might make it far with his hilarious antics.

“I’m telling you the most strategic players are blinded by his charm,” added another Redditor.

Many fans hope that the spy shack sticks around until the end. They believe he might win. There are twelve players left in the game, so anything is possible. Survivor airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on CBS.
