‘Tale of the Nine Tailed’ combined long lost love, fantasy, and an evil that threatens the world

Lee Yeon (Lee Dong-wook) is a 100-year-old gumiho, a nine-tailed fox. He gave up his title as the mountain spirit of Baekdudaegan and lives among the human world. To atone for his indiscretions, Lee Yeon works with Taluipa (Kim Jung-nan), an agent in the Afterlife Immigration Office. He helps eradicate evil spirits that threaten humans.

While working on a case, Lee Yeon meets Nam Ji-ah (Jo Bo-ah), a TV producer for a show that investigates supernatural phenomena. Ji-ah is convinced Lee Yeon is a supernatural being. She follows him home and proves her theory. Lee Yeon learns he saved Ji-ah as a child. He saved her from foxes who were posing as her parents and planned to eat her.

Despite using his powers to erase her memories, Ji-ah still remembers the details of that day. Tale of the Nine-Tailed takes a turn when it is discovered that Ji-ah is Lee Yeon’s reincarnated first love. They face peril as Imoogi, an evil earth dragon returns to take over and plunge the world into darkness. It is a classic human and non-human romance.
