Tamar Braxton is ready for a change. The Braxton Family Values star is ready to unload her 1-year-old farmhouse-style residence. It’s unclear where she plans to move next, but she has been spending lots of time in Atlanta as of late, and even embarking on an ambitious real estate venture in the city. The Sherman Oaks home has had some upgrades completed since Braxton moved in.

Tamar Braxton puts farm style home on the market

The Love & War singer has listed her home for a little over $3 million. Braxton kept the overall design of the six-bedroom, 5.5 bathroom, and 3,800 square feet of living space the same, with just some added glammed-up features to make it her own.

She’s added black-and-white wallpaper throughout the first level with matching window treatments. Braxton also added fancier light fixtures than the original ones that came with the home.

Blue and purple hues are also found throughout to coincide with the black-and-white stripes. Gold-toned features have also been added to the home.

The reality star purchased it just a year ago

Braxton purchased the Sherman Oaks home in September 2020 for $2,475,000. At the time, it was already newly renovated. Before her renovations, the home was marketed as having “elegant finishes, high-quality hardwood floors, and beamed ceilings equipped with recessed lighting,” per Realtor.com.

A person who loves to cook and entertain, Braxton was sold on the gourmet kitchen which featured Thermador stainless-steel appliances, quartz countertops, and custom-built cabinets. The home is also equipped with a spacious master suite with its own fireplace, a walk-in closet, and a private balcony. The master bathroom came with double vanities, a walk-in shower, and a soaking tub.

Other highlights throughout the home included a built-in surround sound system, a security system, a wine closet, and an office.

She sold her previous marital mansion

Prior to the move, she’d lived in other properties, including the 15,016-square-foot Mediterranean and Italian-style mansion she shared with her ex-husband, Vincent Herbert. The home had seven bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms. The couple also enjoyed a 15-car subterranean garage, family room, multiple fireplaces, offices, game room, champagne room, a glam room, a poolside guesthouse. Housekeeping staff and chefs were nearly always present. Their home was showcased on Braxton Family Values and Braxton and Herbert’s spinoff, Tamar & Vince.

The couple paid $10.5 million for the home in 2013. As liens piled up and their divorce pended, they sold it at a loss in 2018, for $9.25 million. Braxton said she didn’t learn her ex put the house up for sale despite still living in the home together until she saw a report about it on social media.

After leaving the mansion, she downsized to a two-bedroom condo at the Ritz Carlton in Beverly Hills. It was a major change for the singer, who ended up renting an adjacent condo from the one she owned to store additional belongings.

“Me and my son moved into an apartment and every day he asks about his old house,” she told E! News after her history-making win on Celebrity Big Brother. “And about a month and a half before I came onto the show, I told him I was going to work really hard to make sure he has a new house and God provided.”
