Fans of the famous Braxton family are currently waiting on confirmation on if their beloved reality series will return for another season. Reports surfaced that the show is in danger of being canceled.
Report surface that ‘Braxton Family Values’ is in danger of cancellation
Fans have been eager for the new season of Braxton Family Values to start – but no trailer or teaser has been released to hint that the series is coming back. Last season ended with tensions rising high between Traci and Tamar. On the season finale episode, it was revealed that the sisters were taking a break from filming to regroup following the unexpected death of their niece.
With new seasons of reality series starting, many were wondering if the show would return. The Jasmine Brand exclusively reported that the long-running reality series is in danger of being canceled.
The Braxtons have not been happy the past few seasons and things came to a head when the sisters – with the exception of Traci – went on strike and refused to film in the middle of season 6. The word is that the sisters were upset with their pay, alledged unfair editing and claimed they did not get the same perks as other casts on the WeTV network.
They resumed filming but it remained tense. After an explosive sit-down with life coach Iyanla Vanzant, it appeared they were on the mend but the finale episode of last season proved otherwise. The Jasmine Brand also noted that Tamar is no longer under contract with WeTV, despite her being seen filming her spin-off.
Film trailer featuring Tamar Braxton dropped amid ‘Braxton Family Values’ cancellation rumors
Though the show is on what looks like an indefinite hiatus, the Braxtons have kept busy – mainly Trina and Tamar. Trina is a co-host of TV One’s daytime talk show Sister Circle, which films in Atlanta.
Tamar is also booked and busy. It was recently announced that she’s set to host her own beauty competition and a fan page on Instagram posted behind the scenes footage of her filming a new music video.
The same day news broke speculating the cancellation of Braxton Family Values, a movie trailer featuring Tamar was released. A sequel to the first film, TRUE TO THE GAME II is the film adaptation of the fictional urban novel of the same title. According to the film description, TRUE TO THE GAME II, tells the story of a woman determined to separate herself from Philadelphia’s dangerous drug scene while mourning the death of her longtime love.
The film features appearances from Tamar, Vivica A. Fox, Jeremy Meeks, Lil Mama, and Faith Evans – and brings back several stars from the original film – including Erica Peeples, Andra Fuller, and Starletta DuPois.
It’s unclear what role Tamar plays but from the looks of the trailer, she plays the role of a receptionist.
None of the sisters have commented on the rumored cancellation. Tamar recently deleted her Instagram photos from her account but remains active on Twitter. Towanda promoted the series being currently available for streaming on Netflix. Trina’s 2019 wedding was also said to be filmed for the upcoming season of Braxton Family Values, but fans will have to wait and see whether or not another season will air.
