Tamar Braxton will never deny how humiliating and devastating being fired from The Real was for her. She claims she was blindsided by the firing. Additionally, rumors ran rampant that Loni Love was involved in the decision to part ways with Braxton. Braxton has since made peace with the whole ordeal but says she has yet to speak with Love.

The former co-host of ‘The Real’ says she doesn’t need to speak to Loni Love but isn’t opposed to it

Braxton’s exit from the show was acrimonious and shocking to fans. The fallout was extremely public, with Braxton unfollowing all of the women from her social media and speaking about her belief that she was stabbed in the back by someone on the show publicly.

In an interview with the State of Black Music podcast, Braxton said that she’s been in touch with her former co-hosts, with the exception of Love. “ I’ve only connected with Adrienne and Tamera. A lot of people think me and Jeannie had beef, but we didn’t. When everything happened, she was the most vocal out of everyone behind the scenes, and that’s not something that people know. I never said anything because I didn’t know if that’s something she was comfortable with…I appreciate her for that, because she didn’t have to,” she said.

In terms of her relationship with Love, Braxton says they haven’t spoken, though Love has requested so publicly. But Braxton says she doesn’t want to have a discussion with Love on a private level, if at all.

“I don’t feel that’s a conversation that needs to be pushed. I feel like God hasn’t allowed us to come face to face or come into that situation because it’s not time,” she explained. “Whether it’s for me or for her, I don’t necessarily need to have a conversation with her to forgive her, because I already have. I don’t need to have a conversation for the public…I feel like everything is in God’s divine timing and order, and when that comes time, it will happen. I welcome it. That’s where I am with it.”

Tamar Braxton previously accused Loni Love of playing a part in her firing

Braxton co-hosted the show for three years before being fired in 2016. Per Love B. Scott, Braxton didn’t fare well with a focus group and advertisers hired to promote the show to daytime viewers. There were also reports that Braxton had issues with show executives and even her co-stars.

But per Braxton and her camp, one of her co-stars was involved in her firing. She didn’t name Love initially but confirmed via social media posts that she heard from a close friend of Love’s that Love was involved. Love denied such and alleged that Braxton’s ex-husband and former manager, Vincent Herbert, was actually the reason for Braxton’s departure.

The comedian alleged that she referred Braxton to a talent manager, which pissed Herbert off. There were rumblings that the executives at the show wanted Herbet gone as he was also a producer on the show. Instead, there was a reported disagreement between them, causing the network to cut ties with both Herbert and Braxton. Braxton reportedly was unaware of all that was going on.

A former friend of Loni Love’s corroborated Tamar Braxton’s story

Love may deny any involvement, Love’s former colleague and friend Cookie Hull says she was a witness to Love’s involvement. In an interview with Comedy Hype, she said: “She told me that she was going to try to get her off of the show,” Hull alleges. “She told me that she wanted to be the only ghetto girl on the show, and she wanted to get rid of her.”

Hull said that Love sent emails to the network executives when Braxton was out on medical leave in an attempt to show that there was no decline in viewership in her absence. From there, things reportedly spiraled.
