Tamar Braxton and Vincent Herbert split after nine years of marriage

Braxton and Herbert met when Herbert began managing her older sister Toni’s career. After dating for five years, the couple married in November 2008.

The couple’s marital woes played out on Braxton Family Values, with Braxton frustrated over her stalled music career and the desire for Herbert to manage her. Their We TV spinoff Tamar & Vince followed Herbert in full manager mode and taking Braxton’s solo singing career and reality television career to new heights.

They welcomed their son, Logan Vincent Herbert, in June 2013. As their family grew and Braxton’s career continued to rise, more issues came into play.

Braxton began feeling smothered due to their personal and business lives overlapping. She requested a new manager, but Herbert wouldn’t budge.

Season 5 of Tamar & Vince showed the couple’s breakdown over the blurry lines of work and romance. There were also rumors of domestic violence, with a Ritz Carlton hotel employee calling the police, alleging Herbert bit Braxton’s finger.

Ahead of the couple’s nine-year wedding anniversary, Braxton filed for divorce. The divorce was finalized in the summer of 2019.

Adefeso previously revealed on social media that he and Herbert were friends. But on Braxton’s We TV spinoff Get Ya Life, Adefeso had clear grievances with the way Herbert and Braxton co-parented.

He confronted Braxton over Herbert being in “their” home without his knowledge to drop Braxton and Herbert’s son off. It was later revealed that it was actually Braxton’s home that Herbert dropped their son off to.

In the aftermath of Braxton’s contentious split from David Adefeso, Herbert has been a public supporter of his ex-wife. In alleged leaked text messages between Adefeso and Herbert, Herbert blasts Adefeso for his alleged abuse of Braxton. He makes it clear that he wants Adefeso to stay away from Braxton and their son.

Since then, it’s been reported that Braxton has been staying with Herbert in his LA home as she seeks treatment for mental health. Further speculation of the nature of Braxton’s relationship with Herbert being more than platonic began when leaked court documents revealed Adefeso tried to have Braxton’s restraining order served to Herbert’s home.

A Twitter fan recently shared a clip from Braxton’s “All The Way Home” music video that features Herbert, gushing over their former relationship.

“Yaasss!!!! @TamarBraxtonHer I’m still praying for my favorite singer [muscle emoji, praying hands emoji] am I the only one want her and Vince to get back together?,” the fan asked.

Braxton responded, seemingly shutting down the idea. “Please don’t waste the Lord’s time pumpkin,” she wrote. “Pray about world peace or something.”

It’s also rumored that Herbert is currently in a relationship and simply supporting Braxton as a friend and co-parent.
