Chelsea Houska’s exit from the ‘Teen Mom 2’ cast

Houska has been a part of the Teen Mom franchise since the beginning. She first appeared on 16 and Pregnant in 2009 and then joined the Teen Mom 2 cast. But in November, she announced that she would be leaving the franchise.

“MTV’s Teen Mom 2 has been a big part of my life for almost 11 years. After much thought and discussion with my family and friends, Cole and I have decided that this season will be our last,” she captioned a photo on Instagram. “We are forever thankful to MTV and our crew, who are like family to us. We’re parting on the best of terms and will stay in touch long after this. We’re proud to have been able to share our story and are so grateful to the fans who have followed our journey from the beginning.”

For some fans, the next part of her announcement seemed to be a hint that a spin-off could be in the works.

“Our next chapter in life will focus on developing our brand and taking things to the next level with new endeavors and expanding family businesses,” she continued. “Please tune into our last moments on the show and continue to follow along our journey on social media. We are so excited for this next phase of our lives and hope you all will be a part of it in some way!”

Why did Chelsea leave ‘Teen Mom 2’?

Houska recently opened up about why she left Teen Mom 2. Ultimately, she didn’t want all of her children’s lives to be filmed.

“There just came a point—and I think it was a buildup almost—this feeling in my gut, or my heart, I guess. It just didn’t feel like I was supposed to be on that show anymore,” Houska told E! News. “There were conversations that [my daughter] Aubree and I were having from time to time, and there came a point where I was just worried because I don’t want her to ever be like, she can’t tell me things because it’s going to be aired to millions of people or whatever.”

Fans want Chelsea Houska and Cole Deboer to have a spin-off

Fans have been on a long journey with Houska. They saw her go through the horrible breakup with her oldest daughter, Aubree Sky Lind-Deboer’s, father, Adam Lind. Then they saw her meet her now husband, Cole Deboer, and have three more kids.

On Instagram, fans are constantly expressing how proud they are of Houska.

“I’m currently watching Teen Mom 2, and it’s desperate everything you went through before meeting Cole, I’m very happy for you and everything you’ve achieved,” one fan commented on a photo of Houska’s family captioned, “LOOK AT MY CUTE FAMILYYY.”

“This is why I’m still truckin, thank you Chelsea for the daily reminder that everything does get better,” another person wrote.

Since the new season of Teen Mom 2 has started airing, fans have been clamoring for Houska to get a spin-off.
