‘Teen Mom 2’: Jenelle Evans Hints That Nathan Griffith Wants to Get Back Together; Griffith Responds

Some fans thought Jenelle Evans, formerly of MTV's 'Teen Mom 2,' and her ex-fiance Nathan Griffith might have recently been seeking a romantic reconciliation after their breakup in 2015. But, in a new fan Q&A video, Evans addressed the rumors, saying it wasn't what it looked like.

Jenelle Evans, formerly of MTV’s Teen Mom 2, has a complicated relationship history, to say the least. After turning over legal custody of her son, Jace, to her mom, Barbara Evans, when she was just a teen, Evans had a string of relationships with exes like fiancé Gary Head, husband Courtland Rogers, boyfriend Kieffer Delp, fiancé Nathan Griffith, and most recently, her soon-to-be-ex-husband David Eason.

In addition to her son Jace, Evans shares five-year-old son Kaiser with Griffith and three-year-old daughter Ensley with Eason. After separating from Eason in Oct. 2019, Evans moved away from the couple’s land in North Carolina and down to Nashville, Tennessee, with her kids (except Jace, who remains with her mom).

After the separation, rumors swirled among Teen Mom fans that Griffith and Evans might be getting back together. Friendly photos, outings, and birthday messages between the two seemed to suggest a possible reconciliation for the former couple.

In a new YouTube video in which she answered fan questions, the Teen Mom 2 star even claimed that Griffith still had feelings for her.

The former ‘Teen Mom 2’ star hinted that Griffith still had romantic feelings for her

In her Teen Mom 2 fan Q&A video, Evans settled the rumors once and for all about her relationship with Griffith, with whom she broke up in 2015. “Are you and Nathan back together?” the fan asked.

“No, definitely not,” Evans answered. “We’ve been co-parenting lately, and we were getting along, but now we’re not, because I guess we’re just not on the same level.”

The MTV star claimed that Griffith had feelings for her beyond platonic co-parenting. “He likes me a lot, and I don’t like him like that anymore,” the mom of three claimed. “So I’m just trying to keep things civil and just co-parenting, that’s it.”

After another fan asked her a similar question, Evans explained that Griffith had “issues of his own to work out.”

Evans’ ex-fiance responded to her claims

But Griffith, a former Marine, wasn’t about to agree with Evans’ hints that he wanted her back. In an exclusive interview with Champion Daily, Griffith said, “Yeah, I’m not getting into that drama.”

He added that their relationship was as up and down as ever. “We were getting along great but somewhere along the line there was a fall out, once again,” he explained. “Her continuously making ridiculous accusations and pretty much going off on me like always.”

The former Teen Mom 2 star claimed his ex was always playing “back and forth games” and that he wanted it to stop for the sake of their son. “At the end of the day there is still a child involved in this mess,” Griffith said, “and feelings need to ALWAYS be pushed to the side for the better purpose of Kaiser.”

Griffith was recently arrested for an alleged DUI and hospitalized for his mental health

Of course, Evans’ ex is no stranger to legal troubles and tumultuous relationships of his own. The bodybuilding competitor was arrested in Oct. 2019 for an alleged DUI, which would be at least his third drinking and driving offense.

He has also been arrested in the past for drunk and disorderly behavior, threatening a police officer, and domestic violence against Evans and another ex-girlfriend, among other alleged offenses.

The 32-year-old former Teen Mom 2 star was also hospitalized in late Jan. 2020, according to In Touch Weekly, after a fight with his mom, Doris Davidson. Griffith’s mom called 911 after Griffith allegedly threatened to harm himself or others during an argument in which he locked her out of the house they share. After a mental health check, Griffith was ultimately released.
