It’s an understatement to say that Jenelle Evans’ took Teen Mom 2 fans for a wild ride. While her antics and behavior have often been unsafe or reprehensible, it also means that she’s one of the most controversial and entertaining parts of the show. Evans’ children have been taken by CPS, her dog was killed, and she was fired from the show—talk about a rollercoaster.

All of this has some fans wondering—what is Evans’ really worth? After being removed from the show, and facing upcoming court battles, will her finances be taking a major hit? Let’s take a look.

Nugget the French bulldog

To see why Evans’ finances might be in danger, it’s important to understand why she was fired from Teen Mom 2. It all starts with her pet dog, Nugget.

Apparently, Nugget snapped and either scratched or bit Evans’ 2-year-old daughter, Ensley, on the face. Evans’ husband, David Eason, then pulled a gun and shot the dog to death, allegedly right in front of the children.

“I dont [sic] give a damn what animal bites my baby on the face,” said Eason according to Us Weekly. “Whether it be your dog or mine, a dog is a dog and I dont [sic] put up with that sh*t at all. I’m all about protecting my family, it is my lifes [sic] mission. Some people are worth killing or dying for and my family means that much to me.”

Meanwhile, Evans posted an image of Nugget to Instagram, with the following caption. “Nugget… I’m crying everyday. I love you so much and I’m so sorry. I’m speechless. You were my side kick and knew the moment I felt bad and would cuddle with me. You still had a lot to learn and a lot to grow from your lessons. Everyday I wake up you’re not here, when I come home you’re not here, when I go to bed… you’re not here. You’re gone forever and there’s no coming back. #Heartbroken #Distraught

Suffice it to say the backlash was almost immediate.

Losing custody of the kids

Evans’ ex, Nathan Griffith, heard about the incident with the dog and alerted CPS. Griffith seemed to feel that this was an indicator of an unsafe environment, and CPS agreed. Griffith now has custody of his child, Kaiser, who was previously staying with Evans. Evans also lost custody of her two other children, Ensley and Jace.

As a result, Evans has entered court proceedings with Eason to try and regain custody of her children. Meanwhile, Griffith is lobbying to gain permanent custody of Kaiser, claiming that Eason is a danger to his son’s wellbeing.

Booted from the show

As a result of all of this, Teen Mom 2 lost several sponsors, including Greenies, Chipotle, and TWIX. This pushed MTV to take action, deciding that they won’t be filming any more seasons with Evans.

An MTV spokesperson told Us Weekly, “MTV ended its relationship with David Eason over a year ago in February 2018 and has not filmed any new episodes of Teen Mom 2with him since. Additionally, we have stopped filming with Jenelle Eason as of April 6, 2019, and have no plans to cover her story in the upcoming season.”

Jenelle Evans’ net worth

In 2015, Evans told radio station107.5 KZL that she had earned roughly $500,000. “I wouldn’t really say that [I’ve made a million dollars],” said Evans. “I would say a little bit over maybe half [a million]? I’m not really allowed to discuss it.”

One would assume that since then, her net worth would have skyrocketed, but it seems that might not be the case. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Evans is currently worth about $30,000. Given her recent firing and what must be some expensive court fees, this might not come as a big surprise.
