‘Teen Mom’: Kailyn Lowry Reportedly Unfollowed Leah Messer Due to Friendship With Briana DeJesus
Teen Mom 2 stars and friends Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer have reportedly had a falling out following over 10 years of friendship. While they haven’t acknowledged their alleged feud, co-star Briana DeJesus believes her friendship with Leah might have played a role.

In March 2022, Kailyn Lowry unfollowed several people on Instagram, including co-star and close friend Leah Messer.
Many believed something happened between the two as the Teen Mom 2 star previously addressed her moves in an Instagram Q&A, explaining she removed those from her feed due to lack of trust.
Additionally, The Sun reported a new friendship between Leah and co-star Briana DeJesus, who Kailyn sued for defamation as the direct cause.
According to its source, Kailyn got upset with Leah’s friendliness toward Briana during the spinoff Teen Mom: Family Reunion. After filming wrapped, the co-stars stayed on good terms, and Briana often leaves comments on Leah’s posts.
Leah posted a cryptic message on Instagram amid feud reports
However, Kailyn stopped commenting on her friends’ pictures as she frequently used to, and then the Pride Over Pity author unfollowed her.
After the reports broke, Leah added fuel to the fire with a cryptic post on her Instagram story. She reposted a quote from a motivational page about gratefulness for learning lessons. The reality star added, “However, my past is dead to me. I only care about my future and right now.”
Following Kailyn’s defamation lawsuit loss, Briana replied to a person on Twitter who asked if her friendship with Leah played a role in the former friends reportedly falling out.
She claimed she believed it as accurate, claiming Leah “liked” one of her posts, upsetting Kailyn. Reportedly, the media personality didn’t want Leah to maintain a friendship with Briana, but the Teen Mom 2 star “said she’s grown and can be friends with whoever she wants.”
Briana also thinks her friendship with Leah played a role but can understand why Kailyn is ‘upset’
The follower replied, calling her co-star a “petty betty,” but Briana admitted she understood the move. “I can see how you would say that, but my best friends would never like her posts or even talk to her,” she explained.
“So I can see why she’s upset.” Kail nor Leah have confirmed the reason for their fallout or if they ever had one. In 2010, the two appeared in 16 and Pregnant Season 2 in individual episodes and continued their stories on the spinoff Teen Mom 2.
Co-stars for over 10 years, they also developed a friendship and began frequently vacationing together. In a recent episode of the current season, Kailyn called Leah to fill her in on the fallout that happened with her ex’s wife, Vee Rivera.
Apparently, her podcast co-host met with ex-husband Javi Marroquin and exposed Kailyn’s then-pregnancy with Lux, her first following their divorce. At some point after that conversation, Kailyn unfollowed Leah. Teen Mom 2 airs Tuesdays on MTV.
