‘Teen Mom’: Mackenzie McKee Doesn’t Think Josh Slept With Her Cousin Anymore, but He Did Allegedly Help Her Get Drugs

Back in May, Teen Mom star Mackenzie McKee accused her husband Josh McKee of having an affair with her cousin. However, a short time later, she posted that Josh was simply reaching out to her cousin “for advice on how to handle [her].”

“I never used the word ‘banging’ or ‘cheating’ please stop stalking and digging for relatives and invading privacy. Josh was texting and calling her for advice on how to handle me and to me that was wrong on both ends and enough to walk away. Now let’s all move along,” she tweeted on May 22.

As it turns out, there’s a lot more to the story.

Why Mackenzie thought Josh was having an affair with her cousin

Mackenzie was interviewed by The Domenick Nati Show on July 23, where she really got into the Josh/cousin drama.

Just before Mackenzie thought Josh was having an affair with her cousin, she says she and her husband were not in a good place.

“I was on Tinder, and he found out. And I was making decisions that I shouldn’t have been making and I’m sorry to him for that. And one day, he caught me doing something I shouldn’t have been doing, once again I don’t want to go into details, and he said, ‘I think it’s time for us to be done.’ We got in a big fight and he left and moved out,” she shared.

After Josh moved out, Mackenzie looked at “his phone records.”

“So I checked his phone records and I kept seeing this same number over and over again,” she said.

The number belonged to her cousin.

“She is a lot older than us and, obviously, my cousin. She cuts my hair, she’s a hairdresser. She does all my family’s hair. She’s cut Josh’s hair for years. We used to always hang out with her and her husband, who are not together anymore. She has a newborn baby. She’s a single mom of three. It just didn’t make sense to me,” she said.

Immediately after realizing the number belonged to her cousin, Mackenzie “went straight to the internet.”

“I’m like, this is an affair. I’m writing a status. I’m destroying his name. I’m gonna destroy her name. Obviously, this is an affair,” she said.

Mackenzie reveals what was really going on between her cousin and Josh

Mackenzie met up with her cousin later that night and she denied that she was having an affair with Josh. Eventually, it was revealed that Josh had been helping Mackenzie’s cousin get “anxiety medicine” from his brother, Caleb.

“She was going through Josh’s phone to get a hold of Caleb to get ‘anxiety medicine,'” said Mackenzie, using air quotes.

Though Josh and Mackenzie’s cousin weren’t having an affair, the Teen Mom star is still hurt they were hiding something behind her back.

“That was a secret Josh knew about, and his phone was being used to go back and forth. And I was furious. She did show me the text messages. So I was reading the text messages. And that’s a secret they had behind my back. That’s not OK,” she said.
