‘Super Bowl Sunday’ is a must-watch ‘This Is Us’ episode
The emotional season 2 episode, “Super Bowl Sunday,” is a must-watch for new fans and those looking to relive the series. In the tearjerker episode, Jack Pearson effectively saves his family from a house fire before succumbing to a heart attack. The episode garnered more than 26 million viewers and was heavily discussed for weeks following its February 2018 airdate.
It is also the most highly-rated episode of the show, according to IMDb. The episode is rated 9.7 stars out of 10, with 5,800 votes. While “Super Bowl Sunday” is highly-rated, it’s far from the only episode that had fans hyperfocused on the TV.
Three season 6 episodes have fans talking
As This Is Us geared up for its finale, emotional moments were easy to come by. The show certainly didn’t coast to the finish line. Still, some moments were better than others. In the May 17 episode, “The Train,” the family gathers around Rebecca’s bedside when it becomes clear she doesn’t have much time left. It is considered one of the most emotional moments in the show’s six-season run.
While Jack has long been a focal point of the series, the 17th episode of season 6 was all about Rebecca, and fans loved seeing it, even if the entire episode was emotionally taxing. Viewers weren’t the only ones who needed some tissues for the episode. Mandy Moore recently appeared for an interview on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. During their chat, Moore told Fallon that she got physically ill after reading the episode’s script.
This is Us fans also think episode 15 and episode 16 of season 6 were among the best of the series. Episode 15, “Miguel,” tells Miguel’s story from start to finish and ends in his death. In the 16th episode of season 6, “Family Meeting,” Randall, Kevin, and Kate connect to make some decisions about Rebecca. Kate, given the final say, has her own idea about how things should turn out. A season 1 episode of ‘This Is Us’ is still a fan favorite
The season 1 episode, “Memphis,” aired in 2017, but it remains a favorite of This Is Us fans. In the famed episode, Randall takes a road trip to Memphis with his biological father; along the way, he tells him tales about Jack. In the episode, fans learned plenty about Randall, more about Jack, and a ton about William.
The episode served as a jumping-off point for future events, too. Fans rated the episode 9.5 out of 10 stars, according to IMDb.
