Peter Weber may be in the midst of “the most dramatic season yet” but Colton Underwood had a pretty darn dramatic season of The Bachelor, too.

Bachelor Nation isn’t soon to forget that when Cassie Randolph told him she was leaving the show he freaked out, told her she was his final pick, and jumped an eight-foot fence to get away from production. When he returned, he broke up with the remaining two contestants (Tayshia Adams and Hannah Godwin) and devoted the rest of his time to winning Randolph back. Today, they’re still together.

Why Colton Underwood wrote a book and what it’s about

Underwood recently announced he’s releasing a memoir titled The First Time (it’s a virgin joke). He’s been doing more press/interacting with his fanbase as a result.

Last week, he did an Instagram Q&A with his following to answer questions about his upcoming book.

“What is your book about?” asked one fan.

“My high school experience, football, relationships, family, and behind the scenes of the most popular reality tv show,” he responded.

“Why write a book?” another fan asked.

“I loved how much I grew and how vulnerable I was filming the show and when I was done filming I wanted to share more. Believe it or not I held on to a lot of personal experiences because they were my stories to share and I wanted to share them my way!” he wrote back.

Another Instagram follower asked Underwood if “there [are] any insider secrets about filming the Bach.”

“Tea is spilled. Everywhere,” he replied.

Particularly, Underwood says he writes about when he knew Randolph would be awarded his final rose.

“I’m very honest in this book, and I will probably upset some people with how blunt I am… but when you know… you know,” he responded to a fan who asked when he knew Randolph was “the one.”

The fan response to Colton Underwood’s upcoming book, ‘The First Time’

When Underwood first posted about The First Time on Instagram, fellow Bachelor alums and fans flocked to the comments to congratulate him.

“Congrats my friend! I’ll be first in line. Proud of you,” wrote host Chris Harrison.

“Can I get this on audio book with you as the narrator? Congratulations man,” wrote Garrett Yrigoyen, the winner of Becca Kufrin’s season of The Bachelorette. (Underwood says he is, indeed, narrating it.)

“Congrats man. Excited to read it,” wrote former bachelor Ben Higgins.

“just when I thought I couldn’t love him any more …” wrote one fan.

“Soo excited for you Colton!! Can’t wait to read it!!” commented another.

The First Time goes on sale March 31.
