‘The Bachelor’: Kelley Flanagan Told Hannah Ann Sluss When She Started Dating Peter Weber, but Not Madison Prewett
Peter Weber got engaged to Hannah Ann Sluss during his time on The Bachelor. But before “After the Final Rose,” the pilot ended the relationship because he still had feelings for Madison Prewett.
In the days following the finale, Prewett and Weber ultimately decided that they aren’t compatible, which Weber said just proved his mom right.
Now, the former bachelor is dating another woman from his season, Kelley Flanagan. They started spending time together just as the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic was getting started in the U.S. So they’ve been quarantining together for the last few months and now they’re in love.
Kelley Flanagan was close with Hannah Ann Sluss and Madison Prewett during ‘The Bachelor’
In a July 14 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Flanagan said that she “was actually really close with” Sulss and Prewett while filming. But, now, she’s closer to Mykenna Dorn and Kelsey Weier.
“I have no ill will towards Madison. I think she’s a great girl. It’s just this whole, the whole situation is like, awkward and that sucks,” she said.
Prewett echoed the same sentiment on Off The Vine.
“We were best friends actually. We were inseparable throughout the entire process, everyone joked we were the dynamic duo. Really leaned on each other through that entire thing… I remember even when I landed from Australia and got home she was one of the first people that I called. She was in group messages with me and my family. We were really really close and talked 24/7 so I guess I was definitely hurt and thrown off by that whole situation,” she said on the podcast of her friendship with Flanagan.
Kelley told Hannah Ann that she was dating Peter, but didn’t tell Madison
Flanagan told ET that she told Sluss when she and Weber got together.
“I was in communication with Hannah Ann [when Weber came to Chicago], and because her and I were texting, I gave her a call and told her exactly what happened. She said, ‘That’s fine, thank you so much for calling me. I really respect you and our friendship — the fact that you’re willing to call me and tell me this.’ Her and I were fine,” she said.
But Flanagan didn’t do the same for Prewett.
“That was a friendship that I thought, you know, she was going to be in my wedding. I thought we were going to be best friends for life… It was really confusing me to when I saw that and that I didn’t receive any kind of a heads-up or any sort of text or explanation of why. I’m not saying I necessarily deserve it but I kind of feel like I do, because we were best friends,” said Prewett.
While he certainly had a bumpy Bachelor season, Weber told ET that, now, he couldn’t be happier.
“I remember that feeling that night [of the finale]. That was a tough night for so many of us, and I never would have imagined having this happiness just a couple months later with Kelley,” he said. “There’s no way to predict that, but that’s how it all worked out. We’re in a really good spot.”
