‘The Bachelor’: This Contestant Already Met Peter Weber Before the Season Started

The new season of The Bachelor has started and fans are getting to know the cast. There is usually one person who has an edge in the competition because of some kind of connection with the star.

Peter Weber has already met one contestant before the season started. Find out who it is and what they said about it in the first episode.

Kelley Flanagan met Peter Weber before ‘The Bachelor’

The 27-year-old attorney has a leg up in the competition. That’s because she already met the reality star and he remembered her.

“I’m really excited that Peter’s the bachelor because I’ve met Peter,” Kelley Flanagan said on The Bachelor. “I was in California for one of my best friend’s weddings and saw Peter in the lobby. I guess he was there for his 10-year reunion.”

She continued, “It’s hard to not look at that situation and think that wasn’t a major sign being sent to me like ‘Hey, you should really do this.’ And who knows? Maybe at the end of it I’ll be engaged.”

She made a few enemies already

Kelley was part of a group date in the first episode. She, along with other contestants, had to go through an airplane-themed race. The competition came down to Kelley, Tammy Ly, and Shiann Lewis. Kelley won but it was because she cheated by going off course.

She got the award of going on a flight with Weber anyway. “It was beautiful. I feel lucky,” said Kelley. The attorney said the alone time reassured her that he is a catch. “We kind of caught up from where we left off. It was nice,” she said.

However, there was drama when she went back to the hotel. “You did cheat throughout the obstacle course. I feel like that was unfair to me and Shiann,” Tammy said to her. “Honestly, I just ended up going with it. I didn’t know the rules that were gonna be extremely strict,” Kelley said.

“I don’t think I am the girl’s favorite right now,” she then said in her interview. “A lot of them were upset that I cheated and didn’t do the full course. Plus a couple of the girls probably don’t like the fact that I’ve met Peter before and so I feel like I have a bunch of targets on my back. It’s good that they don’t know that we’re actually at the hotel that me and Peter met at.”

They got to recreate how they met

The hotel in the episode, Four Seasons in Westlake Village, was weirdly the same place they previously met. So they decided to recreate the moment in the episode.

“This is pretty insane,” Weber said in his interview. “We’re at the exact place where I just randomly ran into Kelley coming from an after party from a high school reunion. She was coming back from a wedding.”

Kelley walked up to him in what looks like the lobby. She said she grabbed his arm and said, “Wait, I have to tell you something.” Weber then finished her sentence with “You’re not gonna believe this.”

They later sat down to talk. “I’m not naive. I get that you probably have a target on your back. Don’t let that affect you in anyway with this,” he told her.

Fans will have to wait and see if the targets on her back will be too much. It currently looks like Kelley and Weber have a strong connection.
