The Bachelor Season 24 has been a roller coaster ride from the very beginning. So far, there has been drama between Sydney and Alayah, Kelsey and Hannah Ann, and Victoria Paul and Alayah. There was also that awkward moment when Victoria Fuller had to tell Peter Weber about her history with country singer Chase Rice. There has just been so much to take in, and we’re only up to week five.

Fans and celebrities have differing opinions about Weber and how he’s handling the spotlight. Ashley Iaconetti, former contestant on The Bachelor Season 19, chatted with Showbiz Cheat Sheet about Weber’s season and who she thinks are the frontrunners right now.

Ashley Iaconetti: I think it has been thoroughly entertaining. There’s been some odd loose ends. We don’t really know how it ended up with Hannah Brown. I don’t think that was really a completely closed chapter. But I think the [contestants] are really great.

AI: I think he’s a little bit overwhelmed… and I think that is really sad for Peter but also kind of entertaining for us because he makes decisions that he thinks possibly are sweet, like giving Alayah the rose at the group date without really thinking about how he’s sort of disrespecting the other women in doing so.

He thinks a little bit micro instead of macro. But he’s such a sweet guy. He’s really so kind and warm and I hope the best for him in this season. But we are enjoying watching all of the awkwardness that is coming out of this season. He’s not one that handles the drama very well. He seems very uncomfortable with it. I think he’s a little bit starved from his season with Hannah because he had the Luke drama and I think he’s trying so hard to not bring a “Luke” too far into this competition, but he’s maybe making those moves a little bit too soon.

CS: Who are you rooting for right now?

AI: I think from Madison on the first date we all feel like we want to see more of that relationship because their chemistry is super strong. It’s like palpable. You can feel it through the TV; it’s bizarre. But we haven’t seen much of her since that date. And I really want to get Kelley more, because Kelley just seems so down to earth. She just seems a little out of place on The Bachelor. And I think that’s kind of cool. She seems like one of the more mature, older, put together girls. I want to see that relationship flourish as well.
