‘The Bachelor’: Who Is Julie LaPlaca, the Producer Fans Think Peter Weber Ends Up With?
Peter Weber’s season of The Bachelor is almost over. He’s down to his final three women, Victoria Fuller, Madison Prewett, and Hannah Ann Sluss. There are glaring issues with a few of his relationships. He and Fuller can’t seem to get through a date without arguing and he and Prewett have wildly different religious beliefs and views on sex. There aren’t really any giant red flags with Sluss other than the fact that the two haven’t talked about a single deep thing since they have known one another. Given these facts, fans are having a hard time rooting for any of the women to end up with Weber.
But there is a theory going around that he actually doesn’t propose to any of his final three, and instead falls in love with one of the show’s producers, Julie LaPlaca. So, who is LaPlaca?
Theory that Peter Weber and Julie LaPlaca end up together
The users of Reddit have gotten really into this theory that LaPlaca and Weber end up together, so they did some sleuthing.
“They spent New Year’s Eve together, with his family,” one user wrote, explaining why she thinks Weber and LaPlaca are together. “Check her tagged pics, there’s a pic from his dad with her and their family at dinner.”
“In another tagged photo, a girl that she follows posted a pic of herself and Peter, but tagged Julie. The caption says something about ‘an unexpected ending indeed.’”
“Yet another tagged photo shows her in a Seahawks hat. On Julie’s picture of herself in New York, you can see Peter behind her with his back to the camera, and Hannah B. commented that she ‘approves.’”
Who is Julie LaPlaca?
When this theory first came out, most Bachelor viewers were wondering who LaPlaca actually was.
Well, she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in 2007, earning a degree in Advertising and Marketing Communications.
Before working on The Bachelor, LaPlaca spent time as a producer for The Doctors and booked over 800 guests, prepped talent, and more, according to her LinkedIn.
She was in a relationship up until at least 2017, though the man in question hasn’t been featured on her Instagram since she was filming Rachel Lindsay’s season of The Bachelorette.
Is the theory true?
LaPlaca hasn’t commented on the theory but no one has outright denied the possibility that it could be true.
“Well, I hate to get in the way of a good rumor, so I’m not going to confirm or deny about whether he ends up with a producer!” ABC exec Rob Mills told Entertainment Tonight when asked about the rumor. “I don’t know how we’d ever top that though! But, it is crazy. What we’ve seen about the finale over the years is that the ‘finale’ is really on that night when the show goes live. There’s a lot of craziness, it’s a roller coaster, but I would say even now the roller coaster hasn’t ended, and it won’t end until after After the Final Rose.”
And Chris Harrison has spoken about the intimate relationship between Weber and LaPlaca, so the theory is not completely out of the realm of possibility.
We’ll have to wait until the finale to find out for sure.
