‘The Bachelorette’: Fans Are Positive Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen Split Because of This Clue on Instagram
Fans are even more certain now that Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen have called it quits. On Instagram, Yrigoyen removed an Instagram Highlight dedicated to Kufrin called “Becca Spills.” While Kufrin and Yrigoyen have not publicly told fans they broke up, fans of The Bachelorette took the deleted Instagram Highlight as another sign the relationship is over.
Fans have suspected a breakup for weeks
For the past several weeks, breakup rumors about The Bachelorette couple have run rampant. Suspicions of a breakup began in June 2020 when Yrigoyen published an Instagram post supporting law enforcement amid the Black Lives Matter protests.
In a Bachelor Happy Hour podcast on June 16, Kufrin told listeners that she did not know the status of her relationship following Yrigoyen’s post.
“I want to say to our listeners out there — because I’m sure many will hear this back and wonder and ask and have opinions — for those who are curious about my relationship with Garrett at this point, all I can say right now is I don’t know,” she said on the podcast. “I can’t give anything more than that. It’s something that we are trying to work through and discuss and do work on at home at this time and that’s where the work will remain and that’s really the best can give you at this point.”

Garrett Yrigoyen deleted videos of Becca Kufrin on Instagram
On Aug. 6, fans of The Bachelorette noticed that Yrigoyen deleted the “Becca Spills” Instagram Highlight. With the Highlight, Yrigoyen had saved videos of Kufrin spilling things from his Instagram stories to his main profile.
“I’m glad he took that Becca Spills video down. It felt like mean mockery to me. It also gave me a vibe that he was kind of controlling her in a way… I’m sad for her that she spent two years of her life with him but I hope it helps her find a better, like-minded man that really loves who she is…,” one Reddit user wrote.
Another Reddit user wrote, “This coupled with his IG comment to someone asking if they want his new address… it’s only a matter of time.”

It was reported Becca Kufrin and Garrett Yrigoyen broke up
Just a few hours after fans noticed Yrigoyen deleted the “Becca Spills” highlight, E! News reported that the couple broke up.
A source reportedly told E! News:
“Becca is still very upset with Garrett’s comments and the controversy surrounding it… Their lifestyles don’t mesh anymore. Garrett wants different things and they came to a realization that they aren’t compatible anymore.
Garrett is doing a backpacking trip in the wilderness with his buddies and is taking time for himself. They are trying to keep it low-key because they are still working things out, but the relationship is definitely done.”
After E! News published the report, Kufrin commented on an Instagram post about the article and called out the source.
“Lol interesting ‘source.’ I mean if nothing else, the least you could do is spell the names correctly and consistently in your article,” she wrote.
Because Kufrin did not deny the breakup, fans interpreted her comment as anger over the source revealing details of her personal life.
One Reddit user wrote, “I think the comment just makes it sound like she thinks she knows who leaked the news, and she’s annoyed because that’s not how she planned to announce it.”
Other fans have interpreted that Yrigoyen or someone close to him is the source in question.
“I took it as ‘lol at Garrett going by source.’ If they were together she would’ve denied this article. She didn’t. It was just a sh*t move for Garrett to leak it this way. But whatever. When you don’t make the first move they will and it’ll hurt more,” wrote a Reddit user.
