‘The Bachelorette’: Reality Steve Gives First Impression Rose Spoiler for Katie Thurston’s Season
Reality Steve (whose real name is Stephen Carbone) is back at it again with his spoilers for The Bachelorette. The blogger posted his first official spoiler for Katie Thurston’s season of the show. He shared who he thinks received Katie’s first impression rose on her season. Out of all of the contestants that ABC revealed in March, here’s who Reality Steve said is already a frontrunner.

Katie Thurston’s season of ‘The Bachelorette’ has already begun
ABC announced Katie as the next bachelorette on The Bachelor: After the Final Rose. The temporary host, Emmanuel Acho, shared that Katie would be leading her own season, with fan-favorite Michelle Young hosting her own season of The Bachelorette months later. Soon after the announcement, Katie left normal life to find love on the dating show.
Reality Steve finally shared his first spoiler for Katie’s season by informing his fans who she gave her first impression rose to.
Reality Steve spoiled Katie Thurston’s first impression rose
The blogger wrote on Twitter on April 12 that Katie gave the coveted rose to Greg Grippo, a 27-year-old from Edison, New Jersey. Reality Steve shared a photo of the contestant.
The famous spoiler said: “Hey, a spoiler for Katie’s season! Greg Grippo received the first impression rose.”
This came after many fans poured out love for alleged contestant Bao Wu. People showed support for Bao in the Facebook album that ABC posted of possible contestants on The Bachelorette. Some people even asked for Bao to be the next bachelor, without seeing anything from him yet — just based on his looks.
But Bao is rumored to already have been sent home, due to him posting on Instagram for Easter. So Bao reportedly didn’t get the first impression rose. Who’s Greg, and what should fans know about him ahead of Katie’s season?

Firstly, Reality Steve had formerly shared on Twitter that Greg was actually cast for Clare Crawley’s season of The Bachelorette initially. Clearly, Greg didn’t make it onto that season of The Bachelorette. Therefore, it’s a good thing he waited to be a contestant, since the blogger’s new information hints that he’s a frontrunner for Katie’s heart.
Secondly, according to a LinkedIn profile that could belong to the contestant (it’s not a verified account), Greg went to Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont. The profile showed that Greg studied Business Administration and Management and attended from 2012 to 2016.
His college’s athletics website touted his sports statistics, showing that he played basketball while a student. The site revealed he played the sport all four years of college and was the team’s captain his senior year.
Furthermore, the athletics website shared more personal information about Greg. According to the site, he also minored in gender studies, which could be appealing to sex-positive Katie.
Also, the sports site revealed that his parents are Frank and Sandra, and he has a brother, Joe, and a sister, Samantha. If Greg makes it to the final four contestants, viewers could be meeting his family.
We won’t know until later on if Reality Steve’s spoilers are correct. But until then, we’ll keep an eye on Greg’s socials to see if the rumored frontrunner is eliminated early.
