It seems like the next season of The Bachelorette could possibly be the most dramatic season ever. Fans and Reality Steve are speculating that Tayshia Adams is set to replace Clare Crawley on The Bachelorette. Nothing is confirmed by the franchise and is pure speculation, but some fans think replacing Crawley with Adams was always the plan.

The rumors began with a Reddit thread

On July 31, 2020, a Reddit user alleged that Adams was called in to replace Crawley on the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, writing:

“On Monday I got some messages saying that production is having a lot of problems with Clare during filming. Among other things, she cancelled everything that was supposed to happen on that Saturday before, and they called in a new bachelorette. They are recasting her with Tayshia. Tayshia is already quarantining at the hotel and they should be taking her phone on Friday (today). The plan is for her to call back some of guys that have already been eliminated.

When I heard this I figured it was a bit of a stretch and didn’t believe it. Then that magazine article came out and it made it more believable, and today Reality Steve said that he heard some of the guys got called to come back. All of that is pointing to what I got told on Monday so I figured I would share.”

Some fans think production always planned to have Tayshia Adams as ‘The Bachelorette’

After she appeared on Colton Underwood’s season of The Bachelor and Bachelor in Paradise, Adams became a favorite among Bachelor fans. Because of her likability with the fan base and the franchise promising to become more diverse, some fans suspect production always planned to replace Crawley with Adams.

One Reddit user wrote, “Am I the only one who thinks this has been the plan from the start? Producers wanted to boot Clare, she’s boring, stale, non-diverse. But how to do so with as good of optics as possible?
They’ve known Clare and Dale have been speaking. Use that, take it to the next level, gaslight Clare to leave, and conduct the best-case scenario plan that this new world calls for?”

“Of course this is what happened. I think people forget this is a tv show,” a Reddit user agreed.

Because of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the new season of The Bachelorette will not be a typical season with travel. Fans view Adams being potentially brought in as a way to have an epic twist.

“… if, in fact, we get the first Bachelorette to peace out with a contestant (and have it be DALE, at that!!) and then Tayshia gets to step in and be the Bachelorette (another great pick!)… Chris can finally call it the most dramatic season ever. This is true 2020 chaotic energy,” a Reddit user wrote.

Are the rumors about Tayshia Adams on ‘The Bachelorette’ accurate?

Right now, it is a waiting game. ABC and production for The Bachelorette have not commented on the rumors. However, blogger Reality Steve did give his professional opinion after investigating on his own.

For a few days, rumors have swirled that Crawley already wanted to quit filming after falling in love with Dale Moss. In an Instagram Live, Reality Steve could not confirm anything regarding Crawley leaving the show. He did tell fans that he thinks Adams is at the La Quinta Resort in Palm Springs where The Bachelorette is filming.

“I haven’t gotten the confirmation that I need. But I’m really certain Tayshia is out in La Quinta right now… There’s no reason for Tayshia to be in La Quinta unless she’s being asked to film something,” Reality Steve said. “Which means that she would be the Bachelorette. So if you ask me if Tayshia is going to be the Bachelorette from this point forward, my answer would be yes.”

The blogger also said that if the rumors turn out to be true, based on the show’s history, ABC would announce the cast change within two to three days.
