Robert Pattinson reveals how he built his character

The Batman comes from director and writer Matt Reeves. It’s not a Caped Crusader origin story, but it does take place during the early days of Bruce Wayne’s vigilantism. Building on the idea that he’s the world’s greatest detective, The Batman is reportedly more of a neo noir mystery than an action flick.

To take on what could be the role of a lifetime, Pattinson says he has gone through the lengthy process of building the character as an actor. He recently told Vanity Fair France that when he started to build his character, he used “fragile” things compared to the importance of the project.

According to Batman-News.com, Pattinson revealed that he used conversations with close friends as inspiration. He described this as “the secret and sensitive part of the actor facing the heaviness of the project.”

“I look first at the character and what I have to do with it, how I’m going to have to invent nuances in this shell, making it more complex, more complex all the time,” Pattinson explained. “Batman is a role in which I have to learn how to play ambiguity better. It’s out of the question to interpret a character of a single color. It’s beautiful, people who seem to live in two states at the same time.”

How many Batman actors will be in ‘The Flash’ movie?

As Screen Rant notes, the rumor mill has been on fire in recent weeks about The Flash and the possibility of a multiverse. This is because Ben Affleck will be reprising the role of Batman in the film. Michael Keaton is also in talks to return to the role for the first time in nearly three decades.

It’s not clear if Pattinson will make a cameo in the project, as his film is outside of the DCEU. However, according to Keaton, “all 127” Batman actors will appear in The Flash. He was joking, of course, but Keaton didn’t shut down the possibility of returning to the role he first played in Tim Burton’s Batman.

During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Keaton said, “So, we’re having discussions as they say. We’re talking about it. We’ll see if that happens.” When Kimmel asked if the news about Affleck meant that other Batman actors would appear in The Flash movie, that’s when Keaton joked, “All 127 of them.”

The Flash will reportedly star Ezra Miller as Barry Allen, reprising his role from Justice League. For many fans, it feels like the movie has been in development forever. But it finally has a release date and will reportedly be a “different version” of the Flashpoint storyline from the comics.

An Easter Egg from ‘The Batman’ could hint at the real Flash in Pattinson’s DC universe

Is it possible that the real Flash in The Batman isn’t Barry Allen? According to Screen Rant, a new set photo from The Batman suggests that the Flash exists in Pattinson’s DC universe. It also seemingly hints that the real Flash in the movie is Wally West, not Barry Allen.

The image shows a torn poster promoting the take down of GothCorp, which is a tease for the Mr. Freeze origin story. But on that same wall near the poster, fans can see The Flash’s infamous logo. The lightning bolt has a very specific design, which belongs to Wally West.

Again, Pattinson’s Batman is taking place outside of the DCEU. This means that The Flash could be Wally West in The Batman and Barry Allen in The Flash movie.

Confusing things even more are other set photos that included extras wearing Wonder Woman and Superman costumes. The pics suggested that both of those characters also exist in Pattinson’s DC universe.

Could they be costumes for a Halloween party sequence? Absolutely yes, and that’s already a popular fan theory. It could also mean that those characters are very real in The Batman, not just fiction.

Fans will have to wait and see how this all plays out. The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on March 4, 2022. The Flash will premiere on November 4, 2022.
