The Batman will be the next Caped Crusader reboot to hit the big screen. The premiere is currently scheduled for March 2022. The film will see Robert Pattinson take over the role of Bruce Wayne, and the story will take place during his early days as a vigilante.

Not many details are known about the Matt Reeves-directed project. But according to one fan with supposed insider knowledge, Pattinson was “born to play” the role.

What version of the Caped Crusader will fans see in ‘The Batman’

For more than 30 years, fans have seen numerous versions of Batman in different types of films. Most recently, there was director Zack Snyder and actor Ben Affleck’s take on the character. Before that, there was Christian Bale in Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy.

Based on what Reeves has shared so far about his film, it appears his vision for Batman will be more like Bale’s interpretation as opposed to Affleck’s. According to one fan on Reddit, there will be one major detail that will separate Battinson from Batfleck — he won’t kill.

Reddit thread reveals possible spoilers

With Warner Bros. remaining tight lipped about the upcoming film, fans have been scouring the internet for possible leaks. One place to find them is on the r/DCSpoilers Reddit thread, where some accurate information has been leaked in the past. Of course, some inaccurate spoilers have been shared at well.

One Redditor who has previously shared accurate intel is SpideyForever245. In a recent thread, they shared some info about The Batman that they heard from “someone” who worked on the film. Again, until confirmed by a named source, these spoilers should be taken with a grain of salt and treated as rumors.

“I have a guy who usually works for Marvel Studios but recently also heard from someone who told me he worked on The Batman,” the Redditor wrote. “And that the film will make fun of Snyder by making a big deal out of Batman’s no kill rule and explaining why he doesn’t and should never kill.”

Could ‘The Batman’ premiere be delayed again?

The Redditor shared a few more details, claiming that Reeves is friends with Snyder and liked Affleck. However, he says that Reeves “did not like Snyder’s take and will keep making fun of it in his Batman films.”

“Also was told by same person that The Batman is AMAZING but that stupid WB is unhappy with it for stupid reasons. They are thinking about delaying but no final decision,” SpideyForever245 claimed. “Also, Reeves’s Batman will take pills and be insane.”

Of course, all of this intel should be taken with a grain of salt. It does come from Reddit, but this user accurately revealed that Julia Louis Dreyfuss would appear in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

More possible spoilers ahead

Other details that the Redditor posted included the claim that Pattinson “at one point left the set” because he was angry with Reeves for “an unknown reason.” The actor will also get a producer credit for the upcoming sequels and be involved with the scripts.

More information about The Batman came from user Samoht99, who claimed that “nothing” they’ve read so far on the subreddit or Twitter actually comes close to the “actual plot of the movie.”

“It’s waaay deeper and more complex than any of the ‘spoilers’ you find on the internet,” Samoht99 wrote. “I will share some things about the movie with you. First of all: BATMAN DOES NOT KILL. He is tempted to, though. And that is a big part of his arc and inner struggle.”

‘The Batman’ suit is revealed

Fans got a first look at Pattinson’s Batsuit in the trailer, and photos of the new suit have been making their rounds on the internet. According to Samoht99, that’s the only suit Batman will wear in the entire film.

“Batman does not get a second suit. The suit you see in the trailer is the one he wears for the entire film,” the source dished. “Same goes to riddler and catwoman, who is not called catwoman till the third act.”

Will any of these leaks turn out to be true? Fans will have to wait and find out when The Batman hits theaters on March 4, 2022.
