A leak from the set of The Batman just gave fans their first look at Catwoman in Matt Reeves’ upcoming superhero flick. Zoe Kravitz is playing the villain in the highly anticipated movie, starring opposite of Robert Pattinson. The leaked material involves a motorcycle chase between Batman and Catwoman and is the first time we’ve seen the iconic character in action.

Reeves teases Pattinson’s Batsuit

Reeves has been pretty open about the project as filming for The Batman is currently underway. Prior to the latest leak, Reeves released a short video that showed Pattinson wearing the latest version of the Batsuit.

This was the first time we’ve seen anything official from Reeves and his team, and we have to admit that Pattinson looks pretty sharp in the costume.

The video, unfortunately, did not show the entire suit. The clip mainly showed off Pattinson’s torso before panning up to his face. It also featured music from Michael Giacchino and reminded fans of a storyline from the 2013-2014 comics called Batman: Zero Year.

We already know that Reeves is not adapting that storyline in The Batman, but the resemblances are very strong. Luckily, fans got a better look at the Batsuit in the newly leaked images from the set.

Inside ‘The Batman’ leak

According to We Got This Covered, the new leak included a slew of photos and a video of a scene from The Batman. The clip shows Batman and Catwoman riding on motorcycles down a road before the caped crusader wrecks.

Looking at the footage, it is clear that a stuntman is wearing the Batsuit. We are also fairly confident that the character riding beside Batman is Catwoman, though it is unclear if it is a stuntwoman or Kravitz.

Reeves has not confirmed that the footage in question shows Catwoman. But considering the character’s fondness for motorcycles, it is safe to assume that it is her.

Kravitz opens up about Catwoman role

Kravitz, unfortunately, has not revealed if she was the one riding the motorcycle in the leaked footage. The actress has, however, talked about playing Catwoman in The Batman while promoting her new show on Hulu titled High Fidelity.

In the interview, Kravitz admitted that accepting a role like Catwoman in The Batman was a little frightening at first. But once she started exploring the role, she put the expectations aside and did her best to put a new spin on the character.

“It was a little scary, but also whenever I get nervous about something, I feel it pushes me to a better place anyway, so I welcome the nerves,” Kravitz shared. “If you start focusing too much on what people are going to think you’re doing yourself a disservice, it’s almost like you’re putting your energy in the wrong place.”

Kravitz added that she really wants to satisfy fans and hopes that everyone enjoys her version of the villain in The Batman. There is no telling how Kravitz will do in the role, but it certainly sounds like she has done her homework for the part.

How does Kravitz feel about working with Pattinson on ‘The Batman’?

In addition to talking about her part, Kravitz opened up about what it is like working with Pattinson. This is the first time Kravitz has teamed up with the Twilight alum and she had nothing but good things to say about his work.

“I’ve never worked with him before, but we’ve been together for the last few weeks, I had to camera test with him and now we’ve been training together and rehearsing together and he’s just a delightful person and such a wonderful, thoughtful actor,” she stated.

Kravitz noted that she believes Pattinson is perfect for Reeves’ vision for the movie. She is also excited for fans to see what they have put together and promised that the film is going to be “intense.” Based on the leaked video, the film will also feature at least one motorcycle chase.

The actress did not reveal any further details about The Batman’s plot, but she did confess that she has a long shoot ahead of her. Filming for the movie is expected to continue over the next few months.

The Batman is scheduled to open in theaters on June 25, 2022. The film is expected to feature a younger version of Bruce Wayne and explore his early days as a detective. Apart from Catwoman, the project will feature a slew of villains, including the likes of Riddler (Paul Dano) and Penguin (Colin Farrell).
